Ever heard of the gift that keeps on giving? []-D

This release fixes a minor but annoying problem with the HUD of Cyberpunk 2077 in VR.

After some cutscenes, camera changes, and other scripted events, the main subtitles (those appearing in a fixed position toward the bottom of the screen) and the phone menu could become headlocked instead of being properly displayed on the normal HUD, which made them quite difficult to read and interact with.

There was a workaround (the issue would disappear after saving manually and reloading right away from the saved game), but it was immersion-breaking, and besides there are many mission segments in which the game won't allow you to save manually.

Release 10.7.2, attached below, fixes the problem for all reported cases. If you find other moments in the game when that still happens, let us know and please provide a savegame to reproduce the issue.

As usual please remember to run RealConfig after unzipping and overwriting. Enjoy!!!

Hey! Anyone else trying to use the new FSR 3 mod with RealVR? Tried today but only one in every few frames were usable, others were random colors. I'd love to use them together if possible for the performance boost!

Makes sense that it would not work. If Nvidia frame gen causes issues FSR frame gen most likely will as well. Generating frames on top of generated frames probably will result in bad things :(

Lol, understandable. One can dream :')

I'm also having an issue with the mod. I have installed it in the x64 folder and ran the .bat file. I have Quest 3 headset so do I now run Virtual Desktop? Also how do I get the mod menu to appear in game? On checking the mod files which were copied over I have to unblock them in the settings/security tab for each file. Hoping that was it but still no joy.

You can use VD or Link cable or Air Link with Quest 3. Also Steam Link is now an option but didn't work well for me. Make sure you have Oculus set as your OpenXR runtime though. The mod menu is usually both thumsticks, both triggers or start/pause at the same time depending on the game. You will need to have the game paused or be in game menus for most games as well. Pause/Break key can also be used to bring up the overlay.

None of that works for me. It just doesn't see it in air link, or virtual desktop. Oculus is set as active runtime, and kept the app minimised. Ran the .bat file again nothing happens. In virtual desktop I can play the game in a weird see through 2d monitor but not 3d. None of the commands to activate the vr overlay work. Guess I'm one of the unlucky ones. I will uninstall and cancel the patreon for now just wish the games could be native vr.

Can you put a copy of your RealVR64.log file on pastebin or drive and post the link here? Does the bat file run without any errors?

So I came back to this one more time. Reinstalled the game from GOG, turned off the emulate gamepad in Virtual desktop, and plugged in my xbox controller to my pc with usb cable. This game works flawlessy in VR now. Its a big deal because without the gamepad you can't get into Lukes menu to enable it to autostart in VR the next time you run the game. You will know your gamepad is detected when it doesn't space press spacebar to continue. Problem solved.

You can use the pause/break key to open up the Real overlay and use your mouse to navigate, but yeah controller is highly recommended. Sometimes when the game window is outside of your monitor it can cause issues with using the mouse to get to the overlay. Gamepad makes navigating the overlay easy while in VR.

Hello. I a newbie, I have a 4090 and in max resolution but are at 1/2 seems really bad/. Ghosting around everything. The only good one seems mono. any ideas what I may be doing wrong? Thanks

Brandon(Post Maester)

Try using DLSS Quality or DLAA and dropping down the resolution a bit. If you are using 1/2 it will cost a bit more headroom because it generates extra frames to give you a higher/smoother fps feel of double the rate your headset is set at. You could also try lowering your headset HZ to set the required fps lower. Say from 90 to 72/60 depending on your headset. You could also try 1/3 which will need lower fps (60 if you are set at 90). If you are determined to go the higher resolution option, try out using Legacy as it doesn't have the extra overhead but will not feel as smooth and will have motion jitter when things are moving sideways or past you on either side. But the shimmering around objects is basically a conflict between AA, bright textures and AER. So using DLSS which has a different AA implementation or DLAA can help reduce it as well as higher resolution and having a higher ppd headset. Mono is just the render from one eye so no AER which is why it looks better. It does not have stereoscopic 3d though. You can also switch out the DLSS version to see if you like another version better. I'll paste a link to DLSS swapper below, which is a very handy tool for this. Also try using one of the newer LUT mods on nexus for the game as some of them are pretty good and help mitigate it to a degree because they fix how bright the lighting can be in this game and add more contrast. Realcolor is probably my favorite and is now available again. Nova Lut is pretty good too. https://github.com/beeradmoore/dlss-swapper

So is the mod still broken from 2.11 ?

Hi, is the VR mod for Cyberpunk 2077 compatible with the latest update, version 2.11?

Brandon(Post Maester)

You will need to use the newer versions that include a fix for that update. 11.1.1 or 11.2.1 should work. You can find them in the FC4 or Far Cry New Dawn posts.
