This is a maintenance release. Lately there's been a flood of official updates to several games in our VR collection, and that directly affected some of the mods, breaking stuff here and there.
Additionally, the changes I had to make to my framework in order to support the new updates resulted in me accidentally introducing some regressions, even for titles that used to work correctly :-(
Most of the issues should be fixed now. I still have a few outstanding reports about problems which either I cannot reproduce on my system (saved games showcasing the issues are always welcome!) or which are so rare that I haven't been able to root-cause them yet.
Changelog
Cyberpunk 2077
- The camera should no longer detach from V's head during some scripted sequences or cutscenes where the player cannot control the direction in which V is facing.
- While in the character creation menu, V will be 3D and life-size again (although there is a new annoying artefact where the animated backdrop rotates and clips in weird ways as you look around).
- The world map can be traversed in 3D again. Remember that since markers need to be aligned to the 3D reconstruction, the HUD gets very large in this mode and elements on the periphery may become unreadable. You can work around this limitation by using the "Free HUD" command, which will give you 5 seconds each time it's hit to read the side info.
- By popular demand, the default size of the aiming HUD has been scaled down to 70%. This should make all elements visible, although the writings will look smaller and perhaps unreadable. If you prefer things as they were before, set the "Aiming HUD size" slider in the mod overlay to around 1.4 (here too you can use the "Free HUD" command to read everything in the periphery).
- Fixed the image rapidly alternating between 3D world and flat screen in certain points of the story where a second camera is used to render a character appearing on in-game monitors.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade
- Fixed an issue where the fullscreen menus would appear duplicated, with one copy headlocked and the other fixed in space. The spurious headlocked image should no longer be visibile.
Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales
- Fixed several issues introduced by the latest official updates (wrong FOV, game unable to enter VR, incorrect resolution settings, etc.).
- NOTE: It is no longer necessary to delete the "sl.interposer.dll" file from the game directory. In fact, if you do that your game might crash on start, even before getting to the launcher splash screen. In case you have deleted your file already, you can make Steam restore it by selecting "Verify integrity of game files" under "Properties> Installed files" in the Steam game settings, which will trigger a download of the missing file.
