Hey everyone,

I discussed this on the Discord when it happened, but I want to keep a record here for those that don't frequent those channels. I recently ran into a major PC issue last week, yesterday, and today. My desktop has started crashing frequently.

First, I want you all to know that Superheroes Suck is backed up on an external hard drive, so there is no danger of losing the game's entire library of content.

My own limited technical diagnosis has this marked as a faulty RAM stick that's been causing issues. The crash report mentioned about as much, so I ordered a replacement pair of sticks, which I installed today. There was another crash earlier tonight caused by a separate error, which I tracked down to a broken driver. After addressing both of these issues, the computer is running stable, but I don't know if it's 100% fixed. There was no warning before the previous blue screens, and I'll have to play it by ear if there are any new error codes.

This should not delay the release of the next update if things are now stable, but it will impact the amount of events that will be released. I was aiming for around nine events, but the lost time here might reduce it down to seven. With Harper winning the Patreon Poll, my focus is now on getting those events out as quick as I can while checking and double checking everything in the computer.

If the crashes continue, I'm a little worried that I might need to replace something major like the CPU or motherboard, which would be a nightmare. That would cause a significant delay, a large hit to my wallet, and sleep-depriving amount of stress. I've got my fingers crossed that it won't come to that.

I'm sorry that this update is so distressing. I know I mentioned last week that I would have some better news about the game, but this new issue has overtaken everything else. Wish me luck!

Thank you for all of your support,

~Solace
