Hey everyone,

I hope everyone had a fun, or at least bearable, holiday season!

I'm going to jump right into the meat of the Progress Report. Above, you'll see Riley's next event which is the one alluded to in the previous update! With that, all of the foundation work is done on Riley's Move-In Arc and I can switch into some of the more difficult aspects of this segment of development.

Meaning, we're back to Chrys' Video Game Arc.

Now that we're at this point in the story, I can reveal why Chrys' Arc and Riley's Arc are essential to this period of the game before we resume the main story. Riley's arc will involve a complete overhaul of the function of the Classroom area. There will be a lot of new events in the future rec room, similar to how the library, gym, and other common areas function. Because I have a lot of future main story content planned for that area, the main story can't be continued until it's done, and I've needed to build up to that point. So, that covers Riley's Move-In Arc, but what about Chrys?

Before the main story can continue, I need to prepare three future character models. Two of those models debut during the Video Game Arc, and the third one is impacted by Chrys' own story.

It's a little silly, when I think about. Lovestruck, for example, was finished despite the fact I had her show up with a biker outfit that covered everything. The new models will be in costumes and I don't think anyone would really notice if I just loaded in one of the Academy girls, changed their hair, and dressed them up. But that does matter to me. These character models will see a lot of use in the future of the game, with one of them needed for the immediate main story arc following the sandbox overhaul.

I've decided to tackle the character models again for this development cycle. One was finished during the first part of the Video Game Arc, the second one will be finished today, and I'll put the work on the third one later on so that I don't spend too much time developing them and not the story. I like to have at least 3 to 4 events finished by the start of the third week, but I only have the single Riley event finished because the rest of that time has been taken up tweaking the new model. This is actually quite fast. Harper, for example, took four weeks before her initial debut, and then six weeks of fixing over the course of the game. I've gotten a lot better since then, and it's easier to realize my vision for the character, assets restrictions aside.

That's it for me this week! I'm going to try and finish the character model and her outfit by tonight. Don't get me started on outfits. That's a whole other nightmare.

Thank you for all of your support,

~Solace
