James Cabello (Circle)

Among all the artists I've covered until now, the one I'll bring to the spotlight today is probably one of the most underappreciated by far.

Usually artists, or specifically speaking - PIXEL artists, are fully involved in gaming projects, or at the very least to some degree.

Pixel art takes A LOT of work, let alone animating, since unlike CG animations, here there are almost no shortcuts where every frame must be redrawn with new pixels.

So imagine my surprise when I first discovered James' amazing works, only to find out that his animations and commissions are the ONLY projects he's involved with.

🕒 Lets first go back a bit...

As most artists, James Cabello originally started posting his works on Twitter.
As most artists, he didn't start by posting any 18+ content. Just regular drawings, with a bit of dipping into pixel art.

Unfortunately (as expected), they couldn't gather much interest in their works, no matter their beauty and finesse, until the March '19 that is, when they posted their first lewd animation.

Big surprise, their content started getting more retweets, more likes, more attention overall.
If art is all you're good at, and the likes have spoken, then you're not really left with an alternatives but to delve deeper and deeper into the cultured abyss.

One work led to another, and a few years down the line James have built up an incredible library of the most popular fictional characters in anime and gaming.

Naruto, DBZ, Nier Automata, Pokémon, etc etc...
You name it, he animated it, in the sweet nectar form of pixel art.

James has one problem though: marketing.
You simply can't build up your name by putting all the eggs in one basket.

If all you do is art, share it for free, and even the commissioned work is shared by others, then you'll never get the resources to expand and evolve your craft further, being stuck in the same mouse wheel marathon without moving forward or backwards.

James works share a similar workflow:
A popular character of choice is selected, and multiple animations are drawn in varied positions and different clothing layers - each with their own animation:

The quality of these works kinda speaks for itself.
But I would like to talk about considering supporting James if you like what you see.

Their Patreon offers three tiers for different content access such as WIP access, HD versions and even the asperite project files.
Or you could always just toss a few coins their way just to keep them motivated to bless us with more of these fine thirsty ladies.

👉 You can support James Cabelo on his Patreon here.

A very passionate fan that goes by the name of "Quacko2" have developed an app that puts together ALL of JC's animations up to Aug' 22.
All positions, all clothing layers, basically all the good s*** that made you click on "continue reading".

👉 You can access the full app gallery for FREE on itch.io.

James also takes commissions on his Twitter, where you can also find other WIP and updates about his latest works.
So make sure to check it out!! (It is literally a gold mine)

I genuinely wish to see more of JC's work on a greater scale than sticking purely to commissions.
Perhaps a game, I'll even take a Visual Novel to make these animations even hotter with some spicy context.

Either way, they have my full support, and hopefully now - yours too ❤️
