Reviews:

Back in my teen days, erotic games were simple.
There was never a story, or an elaborated gameplay to make you "earn" the goods.

Often you'd encounter games that borrowed an existing concept to create a bit of build-up and hype towards revealing the girls in all their glory.
Such ideas nowadays are usually looked down upon, because they show lack of motivation to create a more detailed project with all the tools and experience we have gained through other titles out there.

I'll be honest and say that I wouldn't consider covering any of these games at all if they weren't made with pixel art.
To me, committing into such fine craft, especially with how well made these animations are, automatically means that the developers are "all-in".

They do care, and they're inspired to bring something familiar with their own theme, fully aware of the power of the loved retro styled artwork.
The sales speak for themselves, thousands of purchases for each title, from a company that most if not all of you have just heard of for the first time.

🕹️ As you already gathered from the headline, the first 3 titles are all rock-paper-scissors oriented.
I'll skip the obvious gameplay explanation and focus more at the build-up I brought up earlier.

Rock Paper Sexy, the first RPS in the series, is a bit different from the rest.
Here you select one of two girls, beat them up to 4 times while undressing them one piece of clothing per won round.
Winning the set unlocks a new animation and a victory screen. (there's also a defeat CG!)

It's all luck based, no AI manipulation or anything. I was under the impression that there's a pattern sometimes, only to get my own cheeks clapped in the following game.

Now here's the interesting part: this game costs almost $5, compared to the other two at less than a buck each (total steal btw). The main difference between the versions is the classic NES style VS modern pixel art.
Admittedly, there are more animations included here as well, but not as detailed as the latter.

It does make one wonder about the costs of emulating 90's retro look.
The animations are indeed pretty smooth, and the beautiful CG flawlessly gives the classic NES illusion.

💕 The amount of passion behind this project doesn't end there however.
Exploring the game folders will lead you into an incredibly cute and sexy series of images that imitate those "tips & tricks" booklets that came together with the game you purchased back in the day:

And if that's not enough, there's ANOTHER secret girl you can unlock by winning against each girl 10 times. A bit of a grind, but the sessions end quickly, and the reward for a whole new set of animations and CG is totally worth it.

The gallery consists of 4 unique animations played on cue + 5 individual CGs, with one of them being a multiphase defeat scene.
You can also choose a basic or sexy pose for the girl on the left, with 5 levels of clothing, based on the RPS undressing gameplay.

Moving on to the newer RPS releases "Tsubone" and "Fukei".
Same concept but with a single girl this time - win a round to undress a piece, win the match to unlock a new animation and CG. (no defeat scene)

Compared to Rock Paper Sexy however, the pixel art style is more modern, with less unlockable content, but the high quality standard remains.

The main difference between the two is the girls, where in Tsubone you face a voluptuous woman in a tiny bikini, while Fukei is a complete 180 facing off a cute policewoman. (you're the prisoner, doh)

"Tsubone" seemed to be the test drive, or rather the prologue to the more fleshed out "Fukei". Having 1/3rd of unlockable content compared to the latter, but for some reason both games cost the same.
In that sense, Fukei absolutely gives more bang for your buck, but I must say that all 3 games quality is so high, that it's hard to not recommend enjoying them altogether as a series.

💕 The artstyle of both games is beautiful and pretty hot.
High attention to detail such as butt vibrations, or the way the juices flow. No mosaic either (surprisingly) is another sweet plus for me.

JERMANEELS' RPS series is available on DLsite.
❗ The newer releases don't have an official English name, so you can look them up as "エロじゃんけん フケイ編" for Fukei edition, and "エロじゃんけん ツボネ編" for Tsubone edition.

⭐ This post is a good opportunity to also mention another RPS game I've already covered called "Rock, Paper, Strippers".
It has its own take on the RPS gameplay, and the lewd rewards are also quite different, that I would treat the title as a unique experience compared to the above.

Make sure to check out it out if you're looking for another high quality RPS H game!
