Reviews:

Before I begin, I want to say that there are plenty of good known and less known titles out there, but my guiding hand from post to post is to always highlight content that does things a bit different.
Otherwise I'd be making a post every 2nd day with another random title and call it a day.

Alright, to our business then:

The two projects I'm going to review were made by the very competent Milk Cocoa Senki,
the very same studio behind the great title Usagi and the Dream Island.

So Mini Collection 1 came out at September 2020, but I didn't think that was worth a post, until the studio published another 2 bundles one after another in the following year, which then made me intrigued and decided to check those out.

What can I say? the minigames are great, don't overstay their welcome, and some of them even provide a decent amount of challenge while still being fun.
You get rewarded with either a CG or animations or both for clearing them, but in some cases you gotta do the usual "get hit -> get rewarded".

It's very clear that even though these aren't high production games, the devs did care enough to make each game unique on its own, keeping the entire experience fun and fresh.
They vary from shmups, to boss fights, to hack & slash, to mouse controlled maze escape, to an auto-runner, an idle collection game, and even a bloody bedmington minigame is in the mix!

My only complaint is that the games are all divided by folders as stand-alone titles, instead of going that extra mile for a proper menu game selection and overall overview of all of the galleries.
I mean, all together there's plenty of H content, but you still have to access each game separately to enjoy them. (not if you DM me, but still 😉)

Speaking of H content - all of it is in top quality with the same theme that Cocoa Senki loves so much. Very nice artwork for both the CG and the animations that I must say are drawn in their own unique style, which is always appreciated.

- The 2nd review will be shorter, because it's not really a game project, but a bundle which kinda offers the same type of content AND it was released right between the two collections, so I felt that it had its place in this post.

It seems like the Studio also does commissions on the side, and decided that after spending all that time on those beautiful projects, it may as well share them with the rest of the world with a small Unity app that lets you view them in all their glory all tidy and neatly ordered.

You select the character you want, and introduced with multiple gallery features: Zoom, rotate, animation control, speed, clothes on/off, X-ray, BGM / SE / Voice control.
Basically everything you need in a proper gallery viewer to fully appreciate each project.

It's honestly a great bundle. The animations and CGs are amazing, their quality is amazing as always, and I can definitely call this one a quality product, given that you know exactly what you get without any glaring issues that I could think of.

Overall I can sum up this post by saying that yes - I do often look for high production titles, but sometimes with just the right amount of passion you can find these incredible little treats that deliver a great experience on their own without a massive budget.

I mean, I've been playing AAA and AA games that felt so devoid of life, like nobody gave a damn during their development.
A dev's love for his project will always show regardless of a game's budget, and that will always be my guide when I make these posts.
