Try not to take this one too seriously. I promise that I didn't. I most drew from The History of the Hobbit One-Volume Edition. The timeline and extensive notes in it really calls into question the legitimacy of the earlier creation timelines put forward by Christopher Tolkien in The History of Middle-earth 12 volume series. If you love Middle Earth, it is a fascinating read that really humanizes Tolkien.

As soon as I saw Amazon's trailer for the Ring's of Power, and saw their interviews and press releases, I knew it was going to be crap. Why? Because all they had to say was about the diversity, nothing about the story. If they had a story to tell they would have show cased it in their previews.

I've never seen the Hobbit Trilogy, and probably never will. From what I've heard though it wouldn't be hard to make something better. I wouldn't get my hope's up though, with two rookie writers and a show runner that nobody's ever heard of.
