Hiya guys, TAD here, back again, once again! Last week I gave y'all an update on our progress on the Postgame. In there, I mentioned one of the two new characters you can meet, Yuumi! I figured it'd be fun to take y'all through the entire progress of a character's development until they are realized. So here I am, showing you everything regarding Yuumi! :3 I hope y'all enjoy!

So, something that y'all may or not may know yet, but when I started to plan out Feline Fantasies back in 2017, I made the entire story from beginning to end. Of course, things in the story changed as Feline Fantasies evolved, but the characters from Northern were already decided in 2017. One little snippet of this is that the intro of the very first Flash version talks about Puck even though she isn't even available in that version yet. 

Thus, once Northern and the ending was plotted out, I turned to my Patrons at the time and let them vote for the Postgame characters. I held that poll in 2021 just to give y'all an idea. Yuumi came in a close second with Mew just etching it out in first place out of six different choices. 

From there, I started to plot out what we needed for Yuumi and how to make her work. Our artist at the time, Pilitan, drew her classic art before we even decided to redraw all of the art with penetration scenes.

This meant that besides the old art that was created, we also needed to redraw her. 

This is the first sketch of the old, classical art. This is the first step in coming up with a dialogue tree that fits the feline.

Other expressions follow to give me a better idea what I want to write and how.

Once the expressions are realized in the sketch phase, I go to work on making the dialogue tree. I use an online program for writing the dialogue trees called Diagrams.net. These feline dialogue trees can become pretty big. They need to make sense so Side B can seamlessly implement them into the game. This is how Yuumi's Dialogue Tree looks like zoomed out:

As you can see, the different choices you can make in a dialogue tree gives them these roots and makes it a pretty challenging task. The dialogue tree also gives direction how a specific feline functions, what expressions to use and how the player can unlock the NSFW part. I won't spoil how you can unlock Yuumi once the next update drops, but I will show you guys her NSFW scene in a moment. ;3

Usually what I do when writing these dialogue trees is write all of the SFW dialogue first. Everything you see on the screenshot is SFW dialogue (or suggestive stuff, but not flat out anything NSFW). Once I have written the SFW part, we realize the SFW art.

With this, the first step of creating a feline is complete. Now we have to do all of these steps again, only with the NSFW art.

Once all of that is completed, Side B will come in and starts the progress of coding everything inside of the game, from the flow of the dialogue tree, to the necessary requirements of unlocking a feline and so on. 

Once that is done, we need to beta-test and see if everything functions correctly. If everything does, then we have successfully created and inserted a feline in Feline Fantasies! :3
