Hey all, since there's a few factors currently keeping me from being as responsive as I'd like to, I just wanted to make a small post about what I'm currently doing and where I'm going with this!

This past week, my girlfriend and me finally moved in together - or rather, started, since we're at the same time also moving cross country and it's a reasonable amount of work getting everything done. She's got into a great uni to do her master's, we found a sweet place, and yesterday and the day before we (together with the movers, thank God) drove all the stuff over and brought it all up (6th floor!), after a week of packing. The next week or two will probably still be mostly unpacking boxes, paperwork and settling in for me, but of course the time to ship Wave 19 is fully planned in so that will not be affected.

It's a smallish town we're moving to (doesn't have much more than a highly specialized university for conference interpreters really) so obviously I got to think a bit about where to put my focus the next years. I'll be concentrating on Magic, the tokens and my personal work (as opposed to GPs, film and video game work and kickstarter campaigns, which was what the last two years have mostly been for me) and I especially will put more time into the neat little things for this Patreon - I was thinking maybe add in some colored tokens (one a wave maybe?), do more sparkly ones, maybe design a new frame, incorporate feedback from you guys more, think of entirely new rewards etc!

So that I guess sums it up a little - I guess what I'm saying is, I really appreciate this community right here and I'm looking forward to doing much more for it, if I survive the couple weeks of changing addresses everywhere and tax stuff and everything :) also, if there's things you'd like to see - I got a great message the other day that had really nice suggestions and ideas - just let me know, my mission here isn't just to draw stuff for myself, it's also to make you happy. So any type of ideas,  throw em at me and I'll be happy to work with it and introduce new stuff.

All the best

Hannes

Hi Hannes, congratulations on the move! Hope the rest goes smoothly. I actually love the idea of coloured tokens!! Keeping the borders and everything the same and just colouring the main drawing would be awesome. One each wave is perfect! Hope to see more updates soon! Cheers

Would doublesidedness be feasible? Maybe on just the sparkly ones (I know the Sakura Angel extended the print onto the back)? I'd give a limb for, say, a Thopter/Servo, or an Angel/Demon, or a blue 2/2 flying Elemental / red 3/3 Elemental. Or, since we all know how much you love Reef Worm, a Worm/Fish and a Whale/Kraken, eh?

Double Sided tokens would be really helpful, if the printing is feasible/cost effective. I really like the minimal use of color, although I did get somebody comment when I was playing a token heavy deck "I couldn't tell which black and white squiggly was a plant and which was a thopter", but I think it's my opponent's responsibility to ask if they are not sure.

oh man, colored tokens sound awesome. while I still think that your art is great as it is, putting some kind of color into it (even simple black ink as an accent) can make it even better
