...designed the next page of Black Label, a bonus page that will be added to the end of Chapter 2, and I started lines and tones for Gurp’s Resurrection. A productive day! Can’t wait to see these pages come together.

oh no... heh! I see where this is going. Meg's got guts though. She couldn't have known for sure if the group as a whole would side with "some fun" or question her sanity. Someone's got confidence in her "sales pitch" ability to sugarcoat the matter. But it's a perfect way to corner her "pet" into losing the game. Point and case, I'm going to be very VERY impressed if Ellie actually hides the fact she's been rope-groped the entire time.

Funnily enough, I think it's Val who's going to crack the egg on this one. She's starting to put two and two together. "Crazy sex talk, rope and bondage sets, a mad dominatrix, and Ellie looking like she's about to explode.. ...She isn't!...." Oh god, that would be the ultimate if Val ACTUALLY ASKS, "For crying out loud, is there something under that turtleneck!?"

That said, I don't think Val herself is going to be snared too easily. She's easily embraced where sexual maters factor. So while I can see Meg winner her over, it's going to take some evidence-based reassurance this dominatrix isn't out to hurt anyone. (Which ironically would be good for preventing the comic from becoming too dark. I like how Black Label highlights bondage and sex, but tries hard to stay away from full on rape.)

Good question. It was early in their development back when Val wasn’t talking to me (I know that sounds crazy, but it’s true) so I didn’t have much to go on other than this fun idea: Meg: I’m Megan, but I prefer Meg. Ellie: I’m Ellie! El for short! Sam: Samantha. Please, feel free to call me Sam. Val: I’m Valery. Call me Val and I’ll kill you. And that was the most I could get of her character for the longest time. 😅
