September Update: Seacat, Dark Prologue, VotBO (Patreon)

Dear Heroes!

TL;DR: Check out Seacat 0.6 for new art. Votbo 0.2 for new words. Dark Prologue 0.71 for new art and words.

The end of September is upon us. Another month, another revolution around the sun*. Time for the update.

As I warned: I'll update you, even if books refuse to be finished. And they do.

So, what happened this month?

2. I finally figured out how to layout and setup seacat to make it work, but it's going very slowly, so though I hoped I'd be done—I'm not yet. The new layout is very pretty and elegant though, and leaves a lot of space for art, which is nice.

3. The Longwinter Visitor's Book is completed, with a fair bit of new art. Not sure if I've shared it already? Well, here it is again.

5. Some new VOTBO stuff happened. It's not all laid out or art'd yet because priorities. But, here it is as well. Enjoy. I haven't compiled the two votbo updates yet. Culpa. Zeit. Ich will mehr Zeit!

7. Dark Prologue has continued.

11. I also planned to redo the wizardthieffighter.com website, but ... that didn't happen yet.

Umm ... but why does seacat suddenly look completely broken?

- I'm compiling all the previous 3 parts: heroes, things, and rules into a single book.

- As I'm going along I'm also editing the text for clarity and simplicity.

- This means removing a lot of the commentaries and examples. Some of the examples will end up in separate example sections at the end of each chapter (e.g. one for creating characters, one for playing the game, etc.). Others will end up on the website as blogposts. Some will end up in the appendix.

- All of this turns out to be incredibly slow.

- That said check out those cool Whitehack inspired contest and initiative rules in the latest version. Aren't they elegant? If you feel like an archaeologist, you can also compare the previous versions.

- oh, also the cover now shows the whole stratometaship!

- Also I cannot confirm that I will try to make art for every page of seacat turning it into a fully comic stripped rpg rule book.

Give me a few more weeks. I'll post seacat every ten days as it progresses. Ok, right about now that's it from the Rockafeller Skank. A thousand thank yous to everyone supporting the stratometaship again!
