By the darklights of the gently phosphorecent encyclical, this update came faster than you expected, eh, what? I'd planned to release it alone, but then I was well-surprised by the new patrons and decided to release Skeleton as a teaser yesterday.

Now, I hope you will forgive me the spamming of your inboxes as I release the 15th update of the UVG. It is nearly finished. All that's left before the final book kickstarter is ... the Black City.

This update adds:

1. The Endless Houses, a country-sized city, complete with a random building generator.

2. The Forest of Meat, a forest of mutated plants—and a meat plant generator.

3. A hundred random items and small treasures. An I loot the body table, if you will.

4. A semi-random history generator for the UVG. It's probably useless, but who knows—sometimes players want to go discovering the lore. Might as well feed them something they can embelish.

5. A bonus location for the lime nomads—the Lavender Cliffs.

6. Some pictures.

7. Some more words.

Comments, ideas, critiques, and insights are very welcome. This is the time to tell me what you're missing in the UVG!

Bonus: somebody, I forget who, referred to the UVG as the UV Gaslands. That gave me all sorts of ideas for something further down the line.

EDIT: the attached update of the UVG has been removed as I prepare the next project.

"So the official name of the Forest of Meat is the Carnibotanic Disaster Zone." "That sounds like a GWAR song..." "It's entirely possible that it is supposed to sound like a GWAR song." Also you made a mechanic for sacrificing yourself to yourself on a tree. You win.

It was an official name in the records of some Long Gone bureaucratic organization. For the quarterlings and voyagers, it's just the Forest of Meat. Also yes, it is entirely possible that it is supposed to sound like a GWAR song ;). Though it might be the influence of bands like SunnO))) and Nile as I ramp up the next project.

Just ran the first session of what I hope will be a lengthy campaign with some tabletop newbies, and chance would have it that they started with the Vorgo encounter, which ended up working beautifully as an intro to the world of the UVG as well as to how RPGs operate. It was a big hit. Many sessions to come.

Oh, that's great to hear! How did you find running the Vorgo encounter? I set it up a bit experimentally, to be honest. For when I run a game, that kind of presentation and setup works quite well — but it might not be everyone's bucket of herring!
