What entity would be the closest analog to Father Christmas in Glorantha?

That's a really good question. A folk character that transcends individual mythologies... Trickster, maybe!

Hong Kong pawnbrokers also have traditional signs based on how generous they supposedly are -- the shape is the outline of a bat (which sounds like 'fortune' – many Chinese traditions are based on puns) carrying a coin (representing money).

I'm sad there are no adorable stories about a bat that leaves seasonal gifts. If nothing else, it's much more plausible one could get in your chimney.
