🎇Happy New Year! ✨

I've been hard at work cleaning up my backlog with new releases, along with updating some already-existing releases to include a PDF Assembly Guide. (Something the Gatalog requires for releasing through them, even for esoteric or limited availability builds.) 😀

After I wipe my backlog, I'll be able to pursue some other exciting ideas and collaborations in the works! 😄

MEPR-X

Upcoming release.

The MEPR-X is an MPX-compatible printed lower receiver. This is a long-overdue release from me, but for good reason. I've incorporated a lot of prior experience of mine, along with design considerations from the evolution we've seen with printable AR platforms. (Separated takedown standoffs, reintroduced a rotated rear takedown detent, etc.)

PRM-9

Upcoming release.

The PRM-9 is a printable lower receiver made specifically for the MONTGO-9 by Matador Arms. It's based off of RKSpookware's UBAR-9 and the unreleased SPX-16 model (mentioned below), and as such, you will need to procure his UBAR-9 ejector from his site. It's a simple and straightforward design that is loads of fun.

SW1522 v2.0

Upcoming update.

The SW1522 (and its derivative CM1522 for the CMMG pattern magazines) also got a brief refresh and update. While this doesn't feature a takedown stand-off (front takedown pin is low enough to be buffed with plastic alone), it does reincorporate the detents and miscellaneous model cleanup, eliminating some errant faces that existed in the DS1913.

PS522

Upcoming documentation update.

The Sig Sauer 522, now mostly forgotten and long abandonded .22LR platform mimicking the look and feel of its bigger brother (the Sig Sauer 556), returns as the "Pond Side" 522 (PS522). The PS522 is easy to assemble, and is particularly conservative on its use of plastic.

This is simply a documentation release with the inclusion of an assembly PDF, with a small update to the mounted side panels for better aesthetics.

ThiCC9

Upcoming release

The Marlin Camp Carbine 9 is a now-discontinued pistol-caliber-carbine of the previous era. It was manufactured from 1985 to 1999 by the Marlin Firearms Company. This has been in work for quite a minute. After getting stalled by a firing pin spring failure, I finally picked up with revising the model and testing it again. Currently, I'm trying to reconcile a metal barrel threaded into plastic- and the resulting splitting layers that will inevitably occur at the already thin geometry. A colleague suggested I simply add a gap in the receiver- one that can be tightened after assembly with standard hardware. This is a route I will try. The documentation is complete for this model.

BAR22

Upcoming documentation release

The Browning BAR-22 is a long discontinued .22 LR semi-automatic plinking rifle. It has a smooth action and a glass-like trigger. The assembly for this gun is very brief, so the upcoming documentation update will be brief also.

SPX-16 Printed Lower Receiver for the PERUN X-16

Upcoming release

The printed Perun X-16 lower that PSR showed off not too long ago uses a lower of my design, based off of Deterrence Dispensed's AR-15 technical data package. I'm currently awaiting my kit to be delivered, where I'll do further testing and finally make some adjustments before packaging it up for a baseline release. The X-16 platform has plenty of potential, and I am looking forward to experimenting with it.

What about the...

  • ...DD42.1? Unfortunately, I am experiencing serious issues with this model with the spent casing being pushed off the extractor by the next presenting round. I will have to revisit this at some point in the future, though for now, consider it shelved.
  • ...Gen4/5 DDxx.3 platform? This is still in the works, and will be ready for release later this year, with a beta test quickly approaching. Aves Rails and I are working on polishing the models, documentation, and release package while we thoroughly test our rails and design.

Thank you

Thank you to all my patrons for your support so far. I know I stay awfully quiet, as one tends to be with a busy life, though I deeply appreciate your support however large, small, near, or far. 🥰

Let's hope for another fruitful year for 3D printing!
