"Hmm, yeah, this should do." Yarden mused to himself as he came to a stop atop the tallest hall of the plains outside the town of Axel.

"…Can you let me down now?" Chris, who had long since given up escaping the teenagers absurd physical strength asked, deadpan as she lay limp like a sack across one of his shoulders, parallel to the absurdly beautiful and stupidly heavy sword he was carrying over the other.

It had taken the idiot teenager over a minute after he walked away with Chris over his shoulder to realise he'd left Gram behind, and rushed back. To find a bunch of people crowded around it, in awe of the swords beauty.

It would have long since been pilfered if it weren't for the fact that the sword weighed an absurd amount. As it was though, Yarden grasping the stupidly heavy sword and lifting it up high into the air with one hand, while carrying a girl with his other arm over his shoulder, sent enough red flags that those crowding the sword had immediately ran away.

Chris wished she had seen such flags, alas it was too lad and currently she found herself left with no other option than to just lay across the shoulder of the most blatantly bold and unflinchingly arrogant boy she'd ever had the displeasure of coming across.

…And considering her day job, she'd met quite a lot of those.

"You sure?" Yarden asked, looking at her with a smirk, "You said you're a thief class right? Thiefs are generally pretty squishy, and you're a woman on top of that. You're not really built for fighting."

"…I'm literally over level thirty you know," Chris resisted the urge to let her eyebrow twitch, and she was far different from some normal thief class, it was a close thing though, "Also, that's so sexist."

"It's just basic biology, but then uneducated hicks from medieval fantasy lands obviously wouldn't know that," Yarden snorted, before lowering her to the ground and letting her go, "But fine, just scream my name if you find yourself in danger and I'll come save you, or just stick close by, either or."

'It's just the dragon traits, Eris, don't lose your temper. The arrogance and instincts of a young dragon are just heightening his worst traits, just let it go.' she thought to herself, "Sure…" she merely sighed and rolled her eyes.

As always Aqua-senpai was causing her horrible problems with the kind of people she sent to this world, and to think she thought she had gotten a lucky break for once with someone who hadn't picked an item that would needed to be retrieved and simply chosen a biological enhancement.

More the fool was she.

Physically, the power Yarden chose, was one of the best picks one could have taken from the list. Mentally, because of how young he was, it was also one of the worst. Especially because of the type of person Yarden was before he was reincarnated.

He was not a bad person, in fact, in contrast to the vast majority of people sent to this world, he was one of the top picks. He was above average in intelligence, he was fit, he was hard working, he was confident and brave.

But the younger and more powerful a dragon was, the greater its own instincts affected them. For someone like Yarden who wasn't even sixteen yet and had the added bonus of an adventurer card, dragoon class and level system, confidence became arrogance, humour became mockery, bravery became recklessness, even the hobby of collecting became overzealous greed.

…Like all of the cheat powers, abilities and items Aqua-Senpai had created, becoming part dragon, did not come without its drawbacks.

Ironically, the power Yarden chose, would have been better balanced with some of the more average aspects that came from Japan. The meek, physically untalented, the timid, less experienced, less hard working type that tended to die young, would have been a decent offset to the instincts of a dragon and strike a kind of balance.

Of course, there was also the option of giving it to someone who was already a grown mature adult in their thirties or forties, that was around the age dragons began to calm down a bit.

Instead, Yarden's 'stats' mentally and physically were on the upper tier of the scale compared to them, and with the aspect of a dragon, he broke the scales entirely. On top of that, he was a good twenty or more years away from the age when a dragon began to calm down a bit.

…She was pretty sure many of the older gods overlooking Aqua's choices had warned her off from letting someone that young or that mentally able choose that cheat.

Honestly, it was kind of no wonder everyone had finally lost their temper with her and sent her off down here with that Kazuma fellow. Ordinarily after all, they wouldn't have dreamed of allowing a mortal to take a god with them.

She was drawn from her thoughts by his palm squeezing her ass and Chris eeped aloud, "Don't worry, I'm just joshing with you babe." Yarden laughed, letting go of her ass and stepping forward.

'Oh yes, and how could I forget.' Chris grimaced, Yarden had a very strong libido already according to his file she'd read up on, enhanced by the dragon aspects, he was full on lustful.

It was probably a merit to his willpower and morals that he hadn't just dragged the first girl that caught his eye off by the hair and did as he pleased with her. She'd actually expected that earlier when he ha defeated Kyouya Mitsurugi and 'won' those two companions of his.

Instead he'd merely claimed Gram.

…Which actually, gave her a bit of an idea. After all, he might have the sword, but he didn't have any armour yet.

Yarden once he was a few steps away from her, stabbed Gram into the ground, before raising both hands into the air, "Force Fire!" he declared, light swirling in his palms before erupting into crackling spark of light high in the air.

After firing both off into the air, he lowered his arms, pointing at both of his sides, "Force Fire!" he fired off another pair of crackling beams of light, before beginning to rotate, "Force Fire! Force Fire! Force Fire! Force Fire! Force Fire!"

Chris couldn't help but gape as she watched the draconically enhanced boy spin slowly in a circle and rapidly fire off one Force Fire after another.

…Just one Force Fire was enough to draw any monsters in the immediate vicinity towards the caster. It was a skill specifically for drawing monsters to the caster after all.

That many? At once? "Are you an idiot!?" Chris spluttered, she'd never seen anyone in her life be stupid or ballsy enough to use so many at once.

The response she got just made her gape even more, jaw hanging so low she nearly dislocated it, such was her shock.

"Decoy!" Yarden chanted as he clenched his fists, a faint glow surrounding his body.

…And the ground rumbled.

Chris could only stare as masses of monsters began appearing. Huge toads bursting from the ground and rushing from all angles, a wave of green flesh and jagged weapons as multiple dozens of goblins rushed from the tree line mere moments later.

And worst of all…

Was the figure of a massive bear taller than two grown men stacked on top of each other lumbering out from behind the wave of green snarling goblins.

"Now that's what I'm talking about!" Yarden cheered, reaching over and grabbing gram by the hilt before dragging the sword up and out of the ground, "Whooo!" he howled, eyes dancing with a savage glee.

"Get down Chris!" he called to her, and she didn't think twice as she felt magic swirl around him. She hit the deck, and a moment later the boy beginning spinning in a circle as a rush of find formed over gram, "Wind Blade!" he chanted and a large blade of wind erupted from his sword.

In a complete three sixty degrees because of the way he was spinning. Chris felt the force of the wind blade spell rush above her and heard gurgling squeals and screams of pain as the spell slashed into monsters by the dozens.

Over ten of the giant toads fell, and most of the goblins were taken out with a single swing. Such was the power of a Dragoon class with the heart of a dragon.

…It was absurd, he'd only become an adventurer yesterday, but he already had tons of skills, one of them being Intermediate Magic! Even for a Dragoon it would cost a ton of points, yet even with that he had all those skills.

Truly befitting of being a cheat item created by the gods.

Yet, even so, as she perked her head back up, Chris noticed the snarling form of the One Punch Bear, arms crossed over its face to guard no worse for wear. While the toads and goblins had been completely bisected by the wind blade, all it had done was slice and bloody its arms a bit through its thick fur and powerful and dense muscles.

"Well now, aren't you a hard man?" Yarden though, instead of being bothered, seemed happy it hadn't been taken out by the attack, "I'll have you for dinner in a second son, first I've got some frenchies to roast."

Saying that, Yarden completely turned away from the giant bear that was stood behind the still remaining dozen or so goblins to face towards the Giant Toads.

There were nine or ten of them left by Chris' estimations and she watched as Yarden opened his mouth wide and flame sparked into existence as he roared a battle cry.

The breathe of a dragon erupted from his throat in the form of a huge corona of flame that sizzled through the air and washed over one of the remaining giant toads and set it alight. Squeals erupted from its throat and the scent of burning flesh tickled Chris' nostrils.

Yelps and croaks of horror and panic erupted from the other toads and they tried to flee.

Only, Yarden wasn't having it at all.

He swept his head to the side and dragged the corona of flame he was roaring into existence out of his mouth along the same direction, sweeping it across the hilly plains outside of Axel and catching them one by one even as they tried to flee and burning them alive.

And in mere moments, the smouldering burning corpses of the giant toads dropped to the ground, dead.

Yarden's flaming roar sputtered out and Chris felt as his magic power dropped to practically empty, yet beyond staggering a little bit, Yarden merely laughed, "Oh yeah, that's what I'm talking about!" he laughed happily, even as she felt it fill up a little bit once more as he levelled up.

…And she couldn't exactly blame him. With how low levelled he was still, after killing that many monsters, he probably just jumped up massively in level.

Especially considering that his dragon heart amplified his experience growth. Chris wasn't sure exactly how high his level would have jumped, but she was betting it was easily over fifteen, maybe even around level twenty!

The roar of the One Punch Bear drew his attention and her own back to it, and Yarden gave it a delighted grin as it rushed towards them, "Not scared after that, you're a real one mate!" he laughed, "I'll fucking have you!" he roared back in challenge, lifting Gram up over his head and crouching low-

Before erupting into the air with a massive leap that carried him through the air, way over the head of the huge bear, landing behind it at the front of the forest.

Where the last remaining few goblins, overcome with such great fear it overpowered the drawing effect of the Force Fire and Decoy Skills and tried to flee.

He'd literally jumped over a hundred feet of distance!

Gram flashed through the air, the blade a mere blur and humming through the air as Yarden swung it, and quickly took care of the terrified goblins, their corpses, cut through like a hot knife through butter dropping to the ground, organs and blood staining the grass below them.

"Now it's just me and you big man and I'm gonna-" Yarden pointed Gram at the One Punch Bear and began speaking-

But at that moment, a great big shadow erupted from the ground, right out of the shadow cast by one of the goblin corpses.

The huge shadow quickly morphed into the form of a gigantic feline with fur as dark as night, eyes of brilliant slitted gold and massive twin sabre teeth.

'Rookie Killer!?' Chris thought in horror as it slashed out Yardens neck from behind with one massive paw filled with razor sharp claws.
