He fell spiralling through that green and yellow void at a speed he could scarcely track with his own vision, and before he knew it, it was over and he was slamming into hard ground.

Vision swimming and panting deeply, Yarden had to put a great effort into not vomiting.

On his hands and knees he found himself staring at a dark rocky ground, and very little light was visible making it hard to see. In his right hand he held his phone, in the other the weird digivice- no, Fusion Loader.

Yarden winced as he corrected himself mentally. The general basics of what it could do had been forced straight into his head, and Susanoomon was not gentle about it.

"...What a prick..." Yarden huffed. Honestly, he was in a bit of a daze, this felt more like a dream than reality.

But, he knew for sure it was no dream. After all-

Yarden lifted his hands and collapsed onto his backside, holding them up. His knuckles were scuffed and bleeding lightly from the rough impact of his arrival.

You couldn't feel pain in a dream after all.

Shaking his head, he his phone in the pocket of the black joggers he was wearing and held up the Fusion Loader to his face to examine the silver device. As he did though, the movement of his body caused something to fall off of him and land in front of him.

"...The fuck is this?" Yarden gave it an odd look as he picked it up with his free hand and examined it. It looked like a memory card from a camera or something. At the top, in letting it was labelled 'Digi-Memory' and at the bottom there was another label reading, 'Magna Thunder', while right beside it was a dark shadowed out humanoid figure.

He recognised it though, the shadowed figure. Mostly because of the small twin beetle-like horns coming out of its head. It was fucking Susanoomon.

Magna Thunder was one of Susanoomon's attacks if he remembered right. The weakest one though. If the label of Digi-Memory was anything to go by, was it perhaps a recording of that attack, one he could use? Probably not considering it was blacked out.

Lame. But, it wasn't exactly Zero Arms Orochi. God that Susanoomon was useless. And who the hell did it think it was? Telling him not to get in some digidestined chosen's way?

He liked Tai and shit, but he wasn't going to sugar coat it. They were all fucking inept as fuck at getting anything done.
Like seriously, he didn't know where he was but give him a few digimon to use and just from seeing their mistakes Yarden bet he could do a better-

He was cut off was a series of thunderous explosions went off in the distance, shaking the ground beneath him, drowning out his thoughts and lighting up the area for miles around.

Yarden leapt to his feet on instinct, eyes zeroing in on where the explosion came from. In the distance, he could see a huge black and green castle surrounded by a spherical gold barrier, multiple explosions rocking its surface over and over.

"...Where the fuck did that stupid cunt send me?" the teenager gaped. No seriously, look at that shit! That wasn't what Tai and shit had to deal with when they first landed. It looked like a total warzone!

And what was that about him being the master and partner of Metal Greymon? First of all, fucking badass, an ultimate from the get go and the best digimon line? Yes, fucking hell yes. Second, where the fuck was this partner of his!?

He could really use it right now. Hell, god damn right should he get a fucking Ultimate level to start off with if he was getting dropped into a crazy shit place like th-

Yarden's thoughts froze as a huge shadow was cast over his form. Shit.

"Hmm...a human?" a deep, rumbling voice mused from above him.

Slowly, Yarden's head inclined up and backwards to look above him and he gaped as he found a massive silver scaled tyrannosaurus rex clad with cybernetic equipment over its arms, and jaw peering down at him with large blue eyes.

"To think I left my post to investigate after seeing an odd light and find a human, what are the odds?" Metal Tyrannomon cocked his head to the side, then those blue eyes of his widened when they zeroed in on the device in his hand, "A Fusion Loader! Silver in colour too. Not one I've heard of either, and clearly not the one belonging to the leader of Blue Flare. A new general perhaps?

...It sure did like to talk.

Yarden could feel his limbs beginning to tremble and terror seize up within him, but he pushed it down and turned around to face the huge Ultimate-level digimon.

Seriously, what was with this bullshit? A literal Metal Tyrannomon, this wasn't no fucking Shellmon!

"Blue Flare, is that a team name or something?" Yarden forced himself to casually strike up conversation. He had to make it apparent he was not at all 'afraid' here, even if he was. Make it seem like he was in total control and perhaps it would back off for now.

"Indeed, the digimon army led by the holder of the Blue Fusion Loader," Metal Tyrannomon thankfully seemed to like talking and had no problem responding, "Quite the thorn in the Bagra Army's side, I'm quite thankful not to have had to deal with that nonsense, Lord Blastmon the leader of my division has not taken a stance against him yet and left it up to Lord Tactimon."

So there was already another human here. Probably one of the protagonists, a rival if the colour was anything to go by. And they had an army. Which confirmed some of the information he'd gotten forced into his skull by Susanoomon.

And then there was the talk of the Bagra Army. Susanoomon had mentioned something like that. And he had found the names of two of the head honchos already. Blastmon and Tactimon. Not that he recognised the names at all. But considering an ultimate was so casually serving under them, that would probably put them at the Mega Level.

.....The original digidestined didn't need to deal with Mega's until the near end of their adventure. And he was basically thrown into them right here and now?

"So is that who's leading the attack over there, Blastmon?" Yarden asked, nodding towards the huge fortress protected by the large golden barrier around it in the distance.

Metal Tyrannomon snorted, "Hardly, the one in charge of this operation is me," the huge dinosaur digimon shrugged his shoulders, "The Corridor Zone is very weak you know, and we've already conquered most of it. Hardly a place needing of Lord Blastmon, and we'd have already conquered and gotten our hands on the Code Crown of this zone if not for that annoying rook Chessmon."

....If this guy was in charge, what the hell is he doing out here?

"I got bored, this isn't exactly my idea of a good time you know, I'd much prefer a nice book," Metal Tyrannomon snorted, and Yarden realised he must have blurted his thoughts out loud, like an idiot, "We've been here for days trying to get through those barriers Rook Chessmon put up and we're finally down to the last, when I saw that light I decided to come see what it was and ease my boredom."

...Read a book? Seriously? Really not what he'd expect out of a T-rex, never mind one apparently trying to conquer the land of other digimon. "Sounds rough," Yarden nodded crossing his arms, the huge t-rex digimon doing the same and grinning down at him, "Though, if it's that much of a bother being in this Bagra Army, why not ditch it and come join me, I'm sure you'd have a much better time with me." he hedged.

He had to try at least. Metal Tyrannomon seemed reasonable enough. And while he had no idea where his apparent partner was, he wouldn't say no to a Metal Tyrannomon. And if this guy was leading the attack in this 'Corridor Zone', it meant he was most likely the strongest digimon here.

And he could work with that.

"Sorry human, no can do," Metal Tyrannomon snorted and uncrossed his scaled arms, lifting one hand and pointing it, palm open to him, a red light flaring in the digimons palm, "I may not like the Bagra Army, but I like living and while you human kids are pretty impressive, considering Blue Flare has constantly fled every time Tactimon moved to the field, well it tells me all I need to know about your chances, especially considering you just got here."

...You know usually it would be expected for a huge dinosaur motherfucker to be a dumb brute. Clearly his luck was just that bad. Obviously he'd get not only dumped in front of an ultimate leading an army, but they'd be smart too. An intellectual probably if the way this guy went on and his comment about preferring a good book was anything to go by.

"And how do you know that?" Yarden forced a smirk onto his face and flashed the Fusion Loader in his hand at it, while his thoughts raced to come up with a plan to get away.

"Because you clearly don't have any digimon with you currently, if you did, they wouldn't have left you alone with me for long," Metal Tyrannomon gave a sardonic smirk, "Now, no hard feelings human, but come along with me quietly. Maybe delivering you to the generals will get me a lovely promotion that will give me much more free time and where I don't need to be rampaging around like a brute."

Right well this left him with only one option now didn't it? His hand tightened around the Digi-memory. There was a port where it could fit in the Fusion Loader. He was just going to have to jam it in there, hope for the best and then get the fuck out of dodge.

He tensed, preparing to leap into action, lifting his crossed arms apart- "Clearly you are not as smart as you think you are." a deep, baritone voice suddenly came from the Fusion Loader in his hand, and both Yarden and Metal Tyrannomon stilled.

Suddenly bright green light erupted from the fusion loader screen, slamming into the ground behind Metal Tyrannomon in the blink of an eye and then exploding upwards and outwards. Up, up, up and further up it went before fading away to reveal a towering monstrous being. A huge dark scaled tyrannosaurus rex, twice the size of Metal Tyrannomon in height easily, with gleaming a metallic horned helmet over the top of its head, a gleaming cybernetic arm, mounted chest armour of the same gleaming metal and huge purple wings erupting from its back.

Metal Greymon Virus, or Black Metal Greymon as Yarden preferred to call it.

"What was that about my master having no digimon to protect him?" Metal Greymon glared down at Metal Tyrannomon with glowing yellow eyes.

Yarden gaped, and trembled. Awe shot through him, while excitement flared in his veins. It was really Black Metal Greymon! Holy shit! Holy shit! Holy shit! He couldn't believe it!

"...Oh dear." Metal Tyrannomon looked up at the towering form of Metal Greymon and swallowed heavily.

Metal Tyrannomon to his credit, didn't cower. The cyborg dinosaur whirled around, hand coming up and humming with glowing red power, "Nuclear La-"

Too bad for him, despite the sheer size of Metal Greymon, that apperently was not a detriment to the bigger cyborg dinosaurs speed. Before Tyrannomon could fire off his attack, Metal Greymon's huge chrome digizoid claw came down in a blinding fast arc and swatted Tyrannomon away like a fly.

The sheer force of the blow lifted the forty foot tall cyborg dinosaur up into the air and sent it flying like a rag doll.
Metal Tyrannomon soared through the air like a ball and flew for a good hundred feet and only stopped when he smashed into and through a huge rock outcropping.

He did not get back up.

"Are you okay master Yarden?" Metal Greymon didn't pay any attention to Metal Tyrannomon after swatting him like a fly and peered down at him with those glowing yellow eyes.

Gaping up at the huge cyborg dinosaur, Yarden nodded in a daze, "Yeah...but you just took out an ultimate level digimon with a bitch slap."

Metal Greymon nodded, "Of course I did, he is no match for me," his apparent partner replied, "But that is to be expected. After all, this is the power you so painstakingly raised, even super Brave Jesmon cannot defeat me in battle."
Super Brave Jesmon?

Yarden's eyes widened, "You..." his mouth hung low for a moment, "You're the Metal Greymon from my Game!?" The one that came from that event egg he got when he first downloaded Digimon Re-Arise, the one that had a chance of becoming a mega, but had only tapped out at Ultimate? He had been so disappointed in that, but at the same time, wasn't because he still had a Black Agumon by time he found that out. It was his main digimon and partner digimon through the entire story and he spent months getting it to the max level.

"The very same," Metal Greymon nodded in confirmation and utter elation filled Yarden's chest, "That foolish Susanoomon came trying to recruit me to serve another because of some nonsense about potential and my strength, but I refused, after all, you are my partner and no other!" Metal Greymon raised his metallic arm into the air and bellowed.

...The pieces began falling into place.

Why he was chosen, why he was brought here. Why despite that, Susanoomon was an utter prick to him and was utterly dismissive of him in comparison to the 'real chosen'.

He knew how the Fusion Loader worked thanks to the information shoved in his head. Susanoomon wanted Metal Greymon to go serve whoever was chosen, and probably serve as the base or part of a fusion using a fusion loader. And since this was a digimon world, there was no doubt forms of digivolution using the digivice or Fusion Loader. Which would probably get around Metal Greymon's limit as an ultimate level digimon.

Heck, outside the limits of a game, he could jogress digivolve into Machinedramon with a Megadramon, or a bunch of others like Samudramon with any vaccine digimon.

And Fusion Loaders were practically tailor made for Jogress Digivolution. It was so very easy for him to digivolve to mega here.

And he could understand why Metal Greymon was picked. How many other people really would have taken the time to get an ultimate in Re-arise up to the max level considering how much time it took? Especially when he couldn't really enhance his other digimon in the process because so much materials were needed to do it.

Only an utter Black Agumon fanboy like him would do something as asinine as that. And the kicker was, he was basically just Metal Greymon's tag along here, he wasn't wanted, only the digimon he raised was.

"...That fucking dildo looking cunt!" Yarden snarled, kicking a rock hard enough to send it sailing into the distance, fists clenching.

Who the fuck did that prick think he was!?

"Indeed!" Metal Greymon huffed, "He is lucky I did not destroy his wraith like body for his transgressions against you. The fool dared to insult you and act as if you are the lesser of some peon he and his foolish comrades chose? Clearly this Bagramon must have tore half of his brain out in the process of beating him down."

Despite the situation, Yarden snorted in amusement, the tension leaving him. The anger was hard to hold on to when he had a fucking Black Metal Greymon, one apparently totally devoted to him, to the point where he would tell Susanoomon itself to go take a flying fuck off a bridge for Yarden.

He looked at his hand and the Fusion Loader within it, and found a smirk working on to his face. 'And I can't say I'm not happy about getting this.' he thought to himself.

Digi-Xros, the main ability of the Fusion Loader. The ability to enhance a digimon by fusing other digimon to them and not digivolving to a next form like Jogress. On top of that, it was multiplicative instead of simply adding together.

"Shall I go take care of those fools attacking over there?" Metal Greymon asked, breaking him out of his thoughts.

Yarden looked up to see him pointing off into the distance where he could still see explosions rocking the barrier formed around the huge black and green castle. A castle which he was sure now was Rook Chessmon.

"No, first, we need information." Yarden denied shaking his head. His eyes strayed over to the form of Metal Tyrannomon collapsed in the rubble where he'd landed after Metal Greymon bitch slapped him out of the way like a fly.

Metal Greymon wrinkled his snout a bit, "You wish to recruit that weakling?" he asked, sounding disapproving, "He may have information true, but he threatened you and is absurdly weak, you have had rookie level digimon that are stronger within the domain I came from."

He did? Huh. He supposed he did actually. "We can't exactly count on them here though." Yarden pointed out. Besides, he had many ideas on how to use digimon using the Fusion Loader already.

And not all of them were for making Digimon stronger.

Metal Greymon sighed, "Very well, if this is your decision, I will follow."

"Cheers mate." Yarden found himself grinning massively and turned on his heel and swaggering over towards Metal Tyrannomon. He was feeling really good about this now.

With Metal Greymon backing him up, things were suddenly looking so very good for him. 'Thanks Susanoomon ya' fuckin' stupid cunt.' Yarden praised his benefactor 'gratefully'.

In only a few moments he swaggered up to Metal Tyrannomon's head and he found startling blue eyes now dull looking at him already. Well, he couldn't exactly miss Metal Greymon's thunderous footfalls as they approached now could he?

"Here to finish the job human?" Metal Tyrannomon asked with a sigh.

As Yarden came to a stop in front of the cyborg dinosaurs face, he noticed the side of his body was fizzling and pixelating as if glitching. He had taken near lethal damage from just a casual blow from Metal Greymon, huh?

It said a lot about how strong his partner was. Pride filled Yarden and he smirked, "Nah, I'm not that petty," the teenager shrugged, "You'll have to forgive Metal Greymon, he doesn't take threats to me lightly."

"...That's putting it lightly....what a monster." Metal Tyrannomon tried to shake his head before stopping with a groan of pain.

"Yep, I do good work huh? Raised him up from a digi-egg and everything." Yarden puffed his chest out.

"Ah, here to gloat then?" Metal Tyrannomon sighed, but gave a tiny, barely noticeable nod, "You did indeed. With strength like that, I can see why you're so confident in your ability to defeat the Bagra Army."

"Not really, I don't need to gloat to you," Yarden shrugged, "Still, that wound looks pretty nasty." he pointed out.

"...Fatally nasty." Metal Tyrannomon snorted sardonically, "I'm not long for this world now. How annoying, I joined up with the Bagra Army and took part in low threat missions like this to specifically avoid running in to monsters like that."

"Unlucky on your part," Yarden nodded in understanding. From what he gathered, Metal Tyrannomon had only joined up with the Bagra Army so he didn't get killed by them, basically joining the winning side, and he could respect that, "But it doesn't have to end here you know, I can heal your wounds with this." he added, holding up the silver fusion loader to Metal Tyrannomon's eyes.

The cyborg digimon stared at the device for a moment before sighing, "...I see...you will save my life if I join you. How kind of you, after I gave you no quarter while thinking you helpless."

"Eh, you had your reasons," Yarden shrugged. He wasn't really going to hold it against him, who would give up their high position for a helpless looking enemy with no benefits after all? "And you seem pretty cool mate, so the offer is still open." vastly weaker than Metal Greymon or not, a Metal Tyrannomon was still a fucking Metal Tyrannomon. On top of that, he had a pretty decently high position apparently in the Bagra Army and could fill him in on what he needed to know about it, and then tell him about this zone and Code Crown nonsense.

All he saw were gains from this.

Metal Tyrannomon stared at him for a few more moments, "...What is your name, human?" he asked.

"Yarden, Yarden Odhar in the flesh." Yarden introduced himself with a nod.

"Yarden..." Metal Tyrannomon tested the teens name on his tongue before nodding, "Very well Yarden, I accept your offer and thank you for your kindness. I shall join you."

"Good decision lad," Yarden laughed and held up the Fusion Loader, "Now, into the Fusion Loader and get healed up!" he commanded.

Green light erupted from the screen of the device at his command, enveloping Metal Tyrannomon and sucking him inside it.

Metal Tyrannomon, get!

Gotta admit this is definitely going to be a good story. 👍
