You seem to have missed it but it’s Laenor fleeing with Qarl at the end. He was in on it and faked his own death to get out of it all. It’s actually politically genius on Rhaenyra’s part but definitely not morally. No one wants to fuck with Daemon, so if she’s married to him by extension no one will fuck with her. Her children are not bastardised officially which keeps them all in line. And Laenor gets to live out his life with the man he loves. Feel terrible for Rhaenys though

To your confusion about the actor/actress change about why some were change and some not. They changed the people playing teenagers (15, 16, 17, 18 yr olds) like Rhaenyra (17), Alicent (18), Laenor Velaryon(16-17), Laena Velaryon (17-18). Criston Cole is around 28 yrs old pre-time skip so his actor is the same. Also, the title of the episode, Driftmark, is named after the island of Driftmark, home to the Valaryons (Corlys, Rhaenys, Laenor, Laena). The whole episode was on Driftmark, the island, while the castle was named Hightide. Since they are sailors, their burial custom is burial at sea. The culture of the Tullys is different as they live in the Riverlands. They Tullys do the Viking-like burial you see on the GOT show.

U keep hating on Daemon when he's done nothing except kill his 1st wife cause he's always belonged with Rhaenyra. I honestly dont get how ur confusing sir criston, its the same actor lol. Also Rhaenyra's kids hair is the issue not their skin colour. Laenor is mixed and very light skinned so his kids would look practically white. Same with my daughter & siblings. All the assumptions uve had about Daemon are incorrect and he laughed this episode to help Rhaenyra since Vaemonds speech was a dig about her kids. (Who clearly aren't sir cristons he hates Rhaenyra after her rejection). I usually love ur reactions but uve really ruined it for me with all this hate and WRONG assumptions about him. Daemon LOVES his family, 7 episodes in he hasn't done anything to harm his family. If Visery had just listened to Daemon in episode 1, we could have avoided the dance of dragons. Marring into the hightowers brought all this mess for Rhaenyra, shes alone without Daemon. Sir Criston made his feelings clear in ep 5 & 6 Daemon & Rhaenyra only had sex this episode, u weren't even listening to their conversation. She was talking about sex with Laenor wasn't enjoyable. Daemon is Rhaenyra's strongest allie. No other reactor has been like this with him after clearly seeing from start he loves his brother & niece.
