LOVE this movie. Anything with Dame Maggie or Dame Judi is pure gold.

It's called HOLI festival in India, where people throw colored powder in the air and/or splash them on people, Ma'am

A good way to remember it is the fact that the name of the holiday is part of the word "holiday" - HOLI-day :)

Don't you love movies like this where fate brings together a bunch of strangers, their journeys converge, they help each other, and their lives change for the better? Yes, when you get a chance, you should check out the sequel (Richard Gere joins the cast)! The part where you seemed confused at around 1:30:00 when Evelyn (Judi Dench) tells Douglas (Bill Nighy) that Manoj (Graham's lover) and his wife had no secrets between them and shared everything with each other, and then she breaks down into his arms, sobbing. What she said to him in a shaky voice was "It made me realize... how much I failed Hugh. What's the use of a marriage when nothing is shared?" Hugh is the name of her deceased husband. When I first heard it, I misheard "Hugh" as "you", which might have been what you heard too. Never forget what Sonny says: "Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright then it's not yet the end."
