Changelog and Updates:

General

  • Forced FPS to 60, monitor refresh rates over than 60 hz had physics objects jittering on movement
  • Camera scene adjustments for detaching the camera for cinematics

Level Design

  • Level Design for Manor Backyard Zone (placeholder assets)
    • Pledgers Graveyard Region
  • Grass Objects and Tree Optimization with Levels of Detail (LOD and Distance Kill)
  • Skybox and Moon Added
  • Lighting Effects
    • Tonemap set to ACES
    • Adjusted White and Exposure Balance
    • Adjusted Ambient/Direct Lighting and Effects
    • Added SSAO to Manor Scene (Screen Space Ambient Occlusion)
    • Subsurface Scattering causes artifacts + flashing lights and had to be removed from grass objects; replaced with a Lambert Wrap material to emulate the same effect

  • All 9 Founder’s Tombstones Designed and Finished

Story and Writing

  • Organization with Groups of Characters, designing a similar system like “Renown” as a method of story progression by bonding with specific groups of characters to gain access to new areas, zones etc.
