Build: PreAlpha Stage 2


Hello! Hope you've all been having a wonderful October! 

We've been hard at work getting a reasonable demonstration of the project, trying to finish CG Artwork, the Manor Scene and doing all the post processing and visual aspects to present the game more publicily! 

We've been focusing on adding baked lightmap shadows to our 3D models to make them look less like lit objects, giving them some nice depth and shadows around them. We think it looks really good and I hope the polish of adding that will have a better impact than just having them flat.

Since I've been mostly focusing on the 3D Manor Scene, a majority of the time has been spent on doing the 3D stuff these past weeks. Although the first 2 introduction CGs are pretty much done, there are still quite a few more I need to do. Since there are also other things like the Animated CGs I need to do along with other 2D assets I will eventually need.

This months goal is to complete the Manor as much as possible and then continue adding on to the modules of the game together, so we can post it publicily on October 31st (which would of been the original release for the demo but things took much longer than expected).

Fortunately, we're a lot closer than we were many months ago when we first started, learning a ton of valuable things about game development in the process. So i'm very happy to be developing such a fun project, and I hope once we have something to show, people may also find it fun and enjoyable to play.

Plans for the coming weeks are likely to balance out between finishing the Art and CGs and completing the Manor's 3D level design. From there, there's some programming to be done and then adding the characters to the level. So we still have our work cut out for us but we will keep you guys posted next week!
