Lara's well-deserved, shiny reward (Patreon)

Another weekend is here, and with it comes an update on Lara's "Temple Raider" story. I spent most of this week away from home, which meant rendering long scenes wasn't really possible, but I still managed to produce some intriguing content in the time I had available.

I took screenshots of the unfinished final scenes of Lara's video to create a timeline of events towards the end of the story.

About 2/3 of the new content is static or barely animated images; the rest are fully animated scenes. The X-ray scenes in which "Big Egg" awakens, as well as some of the mystical and magical stuff, are already fully animated.

The result of my work is a 2.5-minute-long video called 'Lara's Story Finale - Work in Progress'. It is available online right now.

Here are some notes about the finale of Lara's story:

- The Guardian has finished his work. His final task is to push Lara through the portal.

- The blue tentacles will play a significant role in the ending.

- The Big Egg has already awakened, and its scenes are largely complete, but its full impact will be revealed later when dialogue is added.

- Lara gets her reward. It's a shiny, beautiful reward, but will her wealth matter given the situation she's in?

- Whatever dwells in the temple is definitely an unnatural, eldritch creature. I regret not having a Cthulhu model in Blender; that would have been an opportunity for a cameo.

All I have left to do is finish designing these scenes, render them, and then create the final, complete version of "Temple Raider." But that's a lot of work. Personally, I'd like to see the final version of the video in two weeks.

I've been working on this video since the second half of May; I'd certainly like to finish it in less than two months and move on, perhaps by posting a new poll.
