Good evening to all the horsegirls, ponyboys and other equine fanatics, how are you doing today? πŸ€—

It's been a while since I posted about the game development progress on here or any of our social medias so are some sneak peeks to the latest things that have been in the works!

To this post I'm adding only pictures, but there will be videos posted about these things as well in another post. For some reason the Patreon creator user interface has been acting up a ton for me recently which makes it challenging and time consuming to write posts, especially lengthier posts with many pictures - the picture adding button doesn't appear at all, or it keeps uploading the same picture over and over again, or the pic turns into a unicode replacement character after it's done (this one:  what the heck!) If I'm not mistaken Patreon was updating the creator side of the platform lately so this is probably why, but somehow they made it even worse... 🀣😭 (praying it works this time 😭)

I'm starting to be quite satisfied with both the girl and the horse character in their overall looks and vibe!

The horse skeleton and control rig issues that I wrote about late last year have been resolved, both the new model and its skeleton are professionally made. In fact I ended up doing thorough testing on various different models and skeletons until I decided to continue with this one. Having the best possible skeleton build is crucial because the same animations cannot be used with a different skeleton, so changing the skeleton later is not an option.

The model and its textures will still be going through changes in the future. Most of the basic animations (walk, trot, canter etc - the ones we had in the demo) are done.

As you might have noticed the background environment in these is also completely new. 🀩 As of today there are several maps in the game. This specific map has a brightly lit stable as well as a big open stadium for competitions, surrounded by a mountainous landscape.. But no more spoilers for now 😢

I once again put all my brain cells into use and dived into tuning the infamous reins. Our new horsie might not have a bridle yet, but here are pics of the new reins that are nearly 100% clip-fee as well as support martingales and other attachments. 😎. Both the reins and the martingale pieces have physics (meaning they fly in the air with the horse's movements). And they finally attach between the rider's hands with the middle part being decently realistic by the way it moves and its length. Wait until you see these on video!

Below we have a glimpse to the reins in first person. (Don't let the weird hands throw you off, the animations of holding the reins is not there yet lol πŸ˜…) One thing I really like is that the martingale rings can be seen on each side from certain angles and when the horse shakes its head.

In the next post we'll explore the stable 😎

i mean we paid you to get it done technically

not saying that and not meaning that in a harsh way

Patreon does not work that way. You support an indie creator and only get what your membership promises you. You didn't pay for anything else any extra we might get would be nice but you aren't entitled to anything else than the membership describes..
