Here's some testing I did with a newer UI for interacting with objects. This will likely replace the previous one that required you to point directly at an object to be able to interact with it. A concern I had with the previous UI was that it made it very hard to notice smaller objects or objects in unusual places. With this kind of UI you are always aware of every interactable object near you.
