Howdy friends,

Hope you're all keeping well and looking forward to the weekend ahead!

I'll be filming the next channel update in the next day or two. A big thank you to everybody who has submitted a question for that, I'm looking forward to answering those during the video. If you would still like to submit a question for that and haven't done so already, if you get your question to me in a DM by the end of Saturday (12th November) I'll have enough time to include it so please don't be shy, feel free to ask me anything you like whether it's game-related or not!

In regards to the channel itself, the latest episode of Japan Only PlayStation games made it out last week, pretty wacky episode but I'm happy with how it turned out overall, plenty of interesting games which we love to see!

In some news though, I've decided I probably need to take a small break from video-making just to kind of relax and settle down a bit. Since I started the channel, I haven't really taken a break from working on videos eh... at all really.

The only two instances I can think of are when I moved country and when I went back to Ireland for a few days, and unfortunately, those were both very hectic events in their own right, so I ended up feeling more worked up once they finished than before they began.

I can feel the strain of this constant schedule catching up with me, and it's my own fault really. I love doing this and as a result, I have a hard time switching off from it.
I end up completing a project and what I should do afterward is take a week or at least a few days off to relax. But normally I'm back into the cycle of things only a day or two later and when I'm in the video cycle, I usually put 3-4 hours a day into it, maybe more and this is a daily thing. I'm like this because I get excited about working on things and I enjoy the process... but between my full-time job and this I've left very little time to just unwind, spend time with my partner, chat with friends or just even play a game to relax and I need to be honest with myself and realise it's not a sustainable or healthy way to live.

I'll go into it more in-depth during the channel update but long story short, I'm going to be working sparingly during the months of November & December and I'm planning to take the whole month of January off, just to spend more time with my partner and friends.

I'll of course keep you guys updated in the meantime and you'll be the first to know when things are kicking back into gear, but the plan, for now, is to freeze the Patreon payments for the month of January, obviously, I've no interest in charging people for something when I'm not actively working on it.

Thankfully there should still be some stuff to keep things ticking over in the meantime. I plan on releasing at least one more video in December, a Christmas special if you will, but I'll leave the topic as a surprise for now!

Beyond that, I plan to get back into doing a few live streams since they don't take anywhere near as much time and energy. Those will hopefully take place fairly regularly in December and even January if all goes well, so hopefully, I'll get to chat with some of you during those!

I hope you understand where I'm coming from, my work comes from a place of love and passion and I want to make sure the love and passion I have for it remains intact, and I know when I come back from it I should feel refreshed and primed for a big year ahead :)

For now, at least, thank you all for your amazing support as always! My DM's are open as always if you have any questions.

Much love and I'll see you soon!

Hi, fully support taking time out and pacing yourself. You can't pour from an empty cup, and all that important but trite-sounfing stuff. We'll be here when you get back. No worries.
