Howdy Patreon friends,

Hope you all had a nice weekend! I spent a lot of it staying up way too late to watch Wrestlemania. So naturally, I'm a little worse for wear but I'm not gonna let that stop me from getting to work on some videos for you all.

So for those unaware (I'd imagine people are unaware since I never confirmed this anywhere I don't think), I generally aim to get at least 2 videos out per month, one every 2 weeks if possible.

Due to how long my videos tend to be, that's kind of the happy medium I've reached for myself. I put in a few hours of work each day and hope a fully formed video appears 14 days later, that's YouTube in a nutshell.

So my next video has been in the works for a little while now and is going to be on the game Fear Effect. I had wanted to make a video on it for some time, but just never got around to it. Although recently when I got asked to appear in a podcast to talk about the game, the stars just kind of aligned, and I finally kicked the video-making process into gear.

So this video is going to be in the same vein as the Men In Black, Pax Corpus, and Virus videos, in that they're essentially a guided journey through the game from start to finish. For whatever reason, I oftentimes like to see people play through an entire game, but in a more guided format... not quite a review... not quite a long play... more like a hybrid of the two, so that's a style I like to adapt depending on how the flow of the game at hand and for this title, in particular, I think it will suit it quite well.

As of right now, all the footage has been captured and the script is about 75% complete I'd say, and I'm hoping to have it 100% by the end of today.

Then if all goes well, I can record and edit the voice work on Tuesday
Make all the art and title cards on Wednesday
Begin the editing on Thursday... and depending on how smoothly that goes I expect the video to be ready by Sunday/Monday if all goes well.

This is my general flow for making videos since I've only so many free hours in the day and I still try to make sure I leave a bit of time to hang out with my family/friends and take care of tasks around the house. It can be a bit easy to lose yourself in your work on YouTube, but if you don't strike a careful balance, it can easily lead to burnout I'd imagine... so as long as I accomplish something towards a video each day however small, I at least feel good that I'm progressing forward.

Anyway, that's a little update on what's happening as well as some insight into the video-making flow chart I have in my head.

I'm gonna get back to writing this script, but in the meantime, I hope you all have a wonderful week and hopefully I'll have a video for you all by the end of it :)

Much Love,
Sean

(Ps. Enjoy today's cat pictures, the black cat is named Luna and the Tabby is named honey. They are sisters, about 7 months old, and keep me company during the long edits.)
