Here it is! It's the big end-of-the-year Fan Favorites Episode...for the 2nd year in a row...celebrating your favorite music and musicians.

The 12 songs included in this countdown were all submitted by Patreon members and upvoted on Discord for much of November. We then moved the top 20 submissions to a poll here on Patreon, and now we're counting down the top 12. This is an eclectic mix of music and musical styles, and I'm so pleased to offer this to you all.

Thanks for all of your support and participation this year! Can't wait to start this series up again in January!

There is a great live version of "I Believe in Father Christmas" from St. Bride's Church in London with Greg on acoustic guitar, featuring Ian Anderson on flute, as well as the church's choir. To be found on Youtube.

What a fun 2 hours!! And one of my songs got chosen!! I’ll try and supply more notes next time!! God Save The Kinks!! Really enjoyed Strawbs, have to go find your other reactions to them!! Allan Holdsworth is an acquired taste. You were right on his chordal structures, very distinctive. Saw him live a few times in the early 80’s! Amazing… Recommend listens: his EP Road Games, Bruford - One of a Kind and Jean-Luc Ponty - Enigmatic Ocean (would be a great EPL!!) Merry Christmas & Happy Holiday to all!! ✌️

I suggest Zappa's Hot Rats for an extended play. 'Willie' is great. but 'Gumbo Variations' would be the one piece of music I'd take with me if I could only take one piece of music with me if stranded on a desert island… or maybe Beethoven's 7th.

Hi Doug! Great reactions! I'm just about 1 1/2 months later hehe... just wanted to comment that Unquiet Slumbers/In that quiet earth and Afterglow they all segue into each other forming a "mini-epic" and I think they are needed to be listened all together because of how the dynamics work in all the pieces (they mimic the dynamics of the last two or three sections of Supper's ready). Without Afterglow you don't get really a convincing resolution for the aforementioned pieces, and listening Afterglow alone, well... seems to me kind of insipid without the preceeding pieces. Hope you can listened to them as a whole when you get to the full Wind and Wuthering album! Cheers!
