For our next Extended Play Lounge episode, I want to wade into the warm waters of jazz fusion. We've selected five classic albums for the community to vote on.

Select the one you'd most prefer I listen to. This poll will go through this Friday the 12th. Happy voting!

The Mahavishnu Orchestra has a commanding lead. Prepare for complex time signatures performed with laser precision.

William Drum Marcus

Of Course Mahavishu, although I wish it were Eternities breath 1 and 2

Just like you have Metal Monday's, you need to have a Fusion Day, 70s fusion in Particular John McLaughlin/Mahavishnu

Yes to ALL OF THEM. Figured Mahavishnu would be in the lead, so I voted for Romantic Warrior.

Why won’t this Patreon let me respond to a specific post? I can post, but not in response to someone else’s. Do I have to be in a certain tier or have my privileges been revoked? Lol!

Click the chat bubble on the bottom right of their post and that will allow you to reply. The person who posted the comment will get a notification, but Patreon is not good at directing them back to the original comment.

Thanks for your reply, Aaron! First, I can’t reply directly to your post. I also don’t have chat bubbles next to every post. Only hearts. The way it used to allow me to respond was to tap on a post and it shifts over and shows an arrow to click on. I was able to click on the arrow and it would bring up a separate window with the post I want to respond to, then type response at the bottom. Now when I do that, the comment window at the bottom is not active to allow me to type a response. On top of that, When I click on the response you just left me, nothing happens. It doesn’t show the arrow. It seems locked. All of this WAS working at some point, but no longer. I’m thinking I may need to log out and log back in or log out and delete the app and reinstall it. UGH!!! Thanks again Aaron!

I voted for Mahavishnu Orchestra, but I also hope Herbie gets his turn someday

Hoyet Hemphill

Best ranked Mahavishnu album is Birds of Fire. 2nd is Visions of the Emerald Beyond, featuring Jon Luc Ponty. Inner Mounting Flame was ground breaking. Rockit by Herbie Hancock influenced later music because of it’s use of the deejay scratch style and lyrics sampling. The video is phenomenal.

Walker Bachman

I missed the vote this time, but I sure hope Romantic Warrior gets on sometime soon. My favorite jazz album! Although I must admit that I look forward to Doug's reaction to The Inner Mounting Flame!
