Patreon's embed feature isn't working for me today, so...until that is fixed, here is the unlisted Vimeo Link for the newest EPL. What a sublime but heavy album! It's quite a journey. I hope you enjoy.

Happy-Sad is the ideal human emotion. Thanks to Steven and Doug.

I think I got more out of this record watching and listening to Doug react, than I did the many times I've listened to it myself. But since the first year or two, like most albums it's been reduced to roughly 1/2 of the album on my phone and the rest ignored.

Until today, I'd have said that Raven is clearly Steven's best album. But now I'm thinking H.C.E. is every bit as good if not better than Raven. It stays more centered on a single idea/story/concept, whereas Raven is a collection of dark stories. That gives H.C.E. a certain emotional power, delivered with the amazing soundscapes, that Raven doesn't have, despite the amazing sounds on that one, too. Wow.

This album it’s just beautiful. Maybe not perfect or a masterpiece, but one of the most beautiful albums ever.

Jean-Michel LaFontaine

This album brings so many wonderful memories of me and my GF I met a few months before this album came out. It has a very special place in my heart.

Thanks Doug. What a great job. This is my probably my favorite album released so far this century. Both the music and concept are brilliant. BTW, I thought I knew this album really well, but some of Doug's comments definitely gave my some new insights. Thanks again.

When this album came out it was the first time I had heard of Steven Wilson and Porcupine Tree. I was in a workshop in Qatar when this was released, and my colleagues said "you gotta listen to this" I was hooked after the first listen. Fantastic album, saw him in Brighton for the tour of this album. This album has a special place in my memories

I knew Doug would dig this a lot. I mean, how can you not as a musician/composer ?

Frits van Voorst

Doug, thank you, for giving more insight: musically and content-wise. I also learned a few things of myself. Great album, your comments are a treat.

Chris Ramsbottom

I'm gonna dive into this now in the hope that Doug can enlighten me as to what is good about Steven Wilson...

If you’ve never heard his stuff before you couldn’t have chosen a better album to answer your question.

Chris Ramsbottom

I have heard his stuff and find it pretty meh to be honest. The only song of his that I actually enjoy listening to is "Nowhere, Now". I remain unconvinced.
