It's time to figure out what our next EPL Episode will be. This one is scheduled to drop in the first few days of April.

ELP won the last poll and got Episode 16. I'm carrying over the Neil Morse Band (2nd place in the last poll) and Queen (3rd place in the last poll), and I'm including three other artists to round out the five options for this upcoming episode.

Voting is active through March 30. May your favorite win!

Saved from Simpletunes by Neal and his Morris dancers again… result! Could have been worse, could have been Dream Theatre again, hard to decide which one is worse, the end is always good though in both cases especially when the volume is off. Queen next I guess

The George Harrison is “All Things Must Pass”, not “All Things Must Pass Away”

David McCardell

Really looking forward to Doug’s take on Dark Side of the Moon. Please do the studio version. It was cutting edge for its time and has so many layers.

Definitely DSOTM, and I'll join David McCardell in asking for the studio version.

Tom Brophy

I would love to see Doug's breakdown of ATMP. It's an underrated album with some fantastic songs.

David Crossen

If you must do Dark Side of the Moon, please use the studio version rather than the Pulse version

Although very good of course, DSofM has been done so many times. Queen's aNatR has so much more width to the musical experience.

I can see how many would be tired of TDSOTM album, but it’s BECAUSE of its popularity that it is played so much. ITS THAT GREAT! Many stories behind this album that need to be told. Two quick tid-bits. Alan Parsons is the engineer on this album and should be consider the 5th member of the band. He grabbed his first Grammy for TDSOTM and was also involved in some Beatles recordings. He is a great musician in his own right and was nominated for 13 Grammy Awards with his own band “The Alan Parsons Project”. He should be featured on The Daily Doug too. He was also the one who recruited Clare Torry for “The Great Gig in the Sky”. So, yeah, Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon deserves to be featured by Dr. Doug! It probably didn’t need to be part of a poll, because of its obvious progressive awesomeness, but the Doctor is just making it democratic. Also getting a read on the others in this list as well for future features. Pink Floyd in the lead is certainly not a surprise, but I would also be totally on board with any of the other choices too. Besides, we have not heard Dr. Doug’s reaction to this PF album, so he will have a different take on it. Also, I have not heard anyone critique this before either. Regardless of how many may have. ROCK ON DR. DOUG!!!

Yeah, Dark Side is a fantastic album, but, man, it's so overplayed and requested, it's becoming a cliche. People need to branch out. I, for one, will no longer watch reactions on Dark Side of the Moon. They're ruining the album for me by making me listen to the album too much. But, if you've got to play it for the 40 billionth time, be my guest. I'm guessing just as many people won't watch as will. Now, Similitude of a Dream is just as good in its own way and is relatively fresh.

Honestly think that Rumors would be a much better experience, but that's just me. I've bought and paid for DSOTM at least ten times over the years and then played it to destruction. That's back when vinyl or tape was how you got your music. I did finally purchase a digital version. I went ahead and voted Dark SIde just because it was leading and there's only two days left so.....

Itsfun2listen

Maybe if we all vote up Queen then we can put Simpletunes in third place, shouldn't be in this list anyway, some people have too much influence...

I love DSOTM but I voted Rumors (All things Must pass being 2nd choice) cause I really want to see Doug do a break down of how each song managed to just be a hit or close to one

So much whining. Doug is one of the few very interesting act in this kind of stuff. Just enjoy and if you feel butthurt, just stop contributing. DSOTM may not be my favorite PF album but it's still a timeless classic and deserves an Extended Play Lounge IMHO. Thanks again Doug for all of your time.

Justin Humberger

I always cringe whenever I see someone "whining" about others "whining"....so ironic. Not sure if that makes you feel exalted now or what.. Anyway. Yeah, that's great that you're fine with PF!!! I'm glad you love DSoTM!!! Good for you that you will find several other channels that have covered this and reacted to this album.

Jean-Michel LaFontaine

I'm not interested in other channels, thanks. You can stop contributing if Doug and the people on here don't meet your expectations.

Justin Humberger

Why do you keep encouraging members here to stop subscribing and supporting him? That would be silly... That's like me saying... "If you don't like people whining on the internet you can just shut your internet off and go your library or get an encyclopedia if it doesn't meet your expectations", lol. The point of my post, because I don't think you actually read much any of this thread to see the actual premises is that there are tons of other channels who offer that content. Actually, I could go as far as to you say it would be YOU that would benefit by going to other channels if you want to see Dark Side reviewed, as for those that want him to do Similitude, there are zero options and this channel is as close as it has gotten. I think you're just trolling at this point honestly, I guess you thought your comment would be an easy win or something. We actually have a very valid argument, although I know you haven't invested yourself into it and couldn't care less...

Jean-Michel LaFontaine

DSOTM is probably my least favorite PF album with Waters. This album still is a classic and it won the poll. Grow up man.

Justin Humberger

Yeah see? You don't even read or understand any context whatsoever. Your entire goal here was to exalt yourself. I'm sorry you have to resort to this kind of activity seeking self-validation and I hope you can find some humbleness in yourself for the future so that you don't feel compelled to belittle others for self gratification. ;)
