It's funny how a simple full body "basic standing" pose is more time consuming to fully draw and color than a number of other arguably more complex things I've managed in the past. I always wonder why that is, is it just in my head? Is it but my obsessive compulsive perfectionism really slogging out that lineart stage? Is it feeling that because it's so plain a pose, it needs "more?" The constant modest adjustments to his face to get it JUST right? Oooh, so HARD TO SAY!
Anyway, never hurts to show another breakdown of the levels. Any time I'm working on shading "flat colors" that have a lot of busy details? Usually I'll just hide all the colors and then do the shading as though it were black and white. Want to adjust that shading once the colors are flipped on? Just lock the pixels of the shade layer and spray in different color where's it needed, erase to make lighter where it's desired! I'm trying to get better at remembering I can do this, lol.

Anywhooo....I'm trying something audacious this season! In our desperate need to score rent and keep a roof over our heads for another month, I've been hashing together a "WG Drive" to raise some much needed funds! Understandable if this is not the cup of tea of some folks, so it will be a doomsdaypecs endeavor. It's a good way to involve the community, earn much needed income, and allows me the opportunity to dedicate myself to a fully fleshed out sequence! I went with WG because at least's that easier to show progress through various pieces. I sadly couldn't work out a way to manage that on main that still results in tasty progress pics. Either way, it's nice to get the first part ironed out. c:
