Being a very sea-savvy people (given that the country of Isklendos is a bountiful archipelago) means that seafood plays a huge part in their cuisine. If it's safe and edible you can be sure these elves will try to marinate it or slather it in vivacious spices. While the main bulk of their recipes are centered around a collection of fish, shellfish, and poultry? Isklen people are not shy about slicing meat and organs off recently felled monsters they down in their maritime hunts. Although the flavors generated from such meats are reported to be some complex and unique taste experiences, many elves have acquired a hungry fascination for them. The more colorful and odd looking the fare the more tantalized they are to try it. A number of their signature dishes revolve about an ample use of seafood, spice, hearty broths, and heaping mounds of rice.

As for this fellow featured here- no name for him yet! In fact, I know very little about him at this moment! So far he's a reasonably popular local chef, and with the country having recently started embracing their tourist destination potential, he's been finding growing success at his restaurant. Food is such an important facet of Isklen culture that having the privilege of filling bellies and bringing smiles is one of tall honor. When asked why he never sheds his Isklen winter weight like his peers, he simply replies "Who is to trust a skinny chef??"
