Hey y'all!

Hope everyone is enjoying the start of the weekend. I've been so slammed this week that i've not had time to crank out a new video, but here's an extra goodie just for you all, my lovely and loyal patrons!

Earlier this week during Skype lessons, i had several students ask me about how to get into country style soloing... what scales they use, what modes, all that. And in the process, i came across this EASY tweak to add into your preexisting playing to get you sounding chicken-fried in NO time! Its never been easier!

I'll likely turn this into a full-on lesson here soon featuring a country backing track for you to practice over. This is extremely handy stuff if you're a rock/metal guy like me who finds themselves getting pulled onstage to solo over Folsom Prison Blues, Call Me the Breeze, or anything else that calls for a little sweet southern heat on top.

Grab the chart below and get picking!!!! Thanks y'all!

Really cool video and simple(ish) lesson. I vote yes on the backing track, even as a hard core metal head. It’s always good to get out of the comfort zone!
