Hello everyone, this month of April I've been working mainly on alternative bosses and a new, more reliable way to acquire Recipes.
First let's talk about thealternate bosses. This is one of the main mechanics that was already present in Hero Corruption and is now being exported to HC2, there will be two new bosses plus a shemale one.
You will be able to differentiate which girl will be waiting for you based on the text messages displayed at their respective spawn times, be aware of this so as not to be caught off-guard by bosses who are designed to exploit a specific weakness that might end your run.
The Recipe Store is back, but much more reliable, the store is now located in a new area of the city and opens every three days (Day 3, 6, 9, ...).
Every new day there will be three recipes for sale: One of them will always be a weapon, the second will always be an accessory and the third is random, but this time you'll know what you'll be getting, no more spending gold to get a blind recipe, If nothing caught your interest, you can come back again in a few days.
With the addition of this new store, a new way to control the rarity of recipes has been implemented. Now all equipment in the game has a previously defined rarity factor, the higher this number, the greater the chance that it will be on sale. Equipment dropped by bosses has a rarity value of 0, which means they will NEVER be for sale.
This rarity factor only applies to the first and second item on sale, the third completely ignores this rule, so you can buy an accessory dropped by Jungle girls as early as the third day, as long as you are willing to pay a higher amount of gold for that...
For now this new mechanic is only being used in the Recipe Store, but it allows me to have a more control over recipes, so if the frustration coming from the recipe randomness is not solved, it will be much easier to deal with it in the future.
There's a lot more to it than that, but those of you who follow me on Twitter know that the new enemies are getting more complex, so their development is taking extra time mainly because they're all bosses.
Let's set the release date for the 5th of May. I might be able to release the v0.35 version a few days earlier, tho.
