Hi everyone, how are things?


It's all great around here, so much that I've decided to change the name of these posts to cover all the content that was / is being developed this month.


The winners of the last poll have been added to HC2: Amy, Hannah and Serena can now be found in Deep Forest, I confess that Amy's timer took a little longer than I thought, but it's up and running.


The Codex will no longer be visible from the Base, it can now be accessed at any time by pressing the ESC key, you can check the Status and Enemies tabs in the Screenshot, the others will be added over time. All enemies already have their Codex pages with the same information present in HC1, including pics


The aesthetic are far from what I would like them to be, but it should be enough for an early release version, as I get familiar with the new engine the UI tends to get better.


Regarding Hero Corruption 1, despite the progress in the new game, you can expect the same amount of content as previous versions. Hero Corruption 1 is my priority and its development will only be finished when HC2 is stable and ready to receive pure content updates.


Therefore, version 1.45 of Hero Corruption will be released on Friday, September 2nd.

Very exciting! Are you adding areas to HC2 on a monthly basis now? Also I'd like to know what we can expect in the new update

I don't know about the areas but it looks like the update will be September 2nd according to the post.

Sadly no, the Forest and the Deep Forest are inhabited by the poll winning girls. There was no way to directly export the EOS code to Ren'py, so they had to be remade from scratch. Next month I'll start the process of creating new common enemies and bosses exclusive to HC2, they will be added in these two areas. As for the 1.45 content, it will be a content update. New enemies are ready, this week I'm working on equipment and new scenes.

Random thought on the potions, not that anyone asked... Since the purple and red ones say "may cause" side effects, it might be interesting if they caused their side effect in a random 1-6 points (or even 0-5, or 0-10), or something like that, make it that much more a gamble to take it or not.

Thanks for the suggestion Dartanyn. In this case, because they are so essential to the gameplay, I would like to reduce the randomness of potion effects, drinking a potion and receiving a higher than average amount of addiction can be very frustrating. I hope I can count on your opinions in the future too.
