Whoops! Forgot what day of the week it was. :/

In my excuse, 1) that's only the second or maybe third time I've ever done that. Not the worst track record over the ten plus year run so far. If you guys knew me in person, you'd probably think I'd do that once or twice a month. 2) There was a crazy rainstorm that came through north Dallas last night with tornado sirens blaring and weather warnings on our phones telling us to seek shelter immediately, imminent danger, etc, so I took the extreme measure of shutting my computer down even though it's hooked to a UPS. Once that happened, my whole evening was thrown into disarray. We didn't even lose power or anything. Oh well, better safe than sorry. On to the comic.

So, is this murder? No. I mean, on Earth, a case could be made, but our legal system isn't geared to handle corporally independent consciousnesses. In fact, throughout the galaxy, it's known that those flame head demon-adjacent things (I should really name her race) have kind of disposable bodies. But since they're on Earth, there's a chance that Umbrivion Nava here can get away with this and not even be on the hook to buy her a new body. So I guess this was a pretty good vacation for him, anyway.

I mean, he was trying to get closer to her. Success?

Marc Vun Kannon

Cool, she can move from body to body. This may cause lizard-guy to change his mind in a hurry. I wonder how they'll find a new body for her to use, and if they'll want to. This may be a HEA for both of them. But I doubt it.

I guess the flower pattern is too hard to do when the body is in so many pieces? It made me think it was a different alien at first with the fully red shirt.

Justaguy

One would hope her race is in a nice financial relationship with someone who clones bodies.

Aclys

Pretty sure that was at least attempted murder given that she had to get her essence stone thingy out of there on her own and certainly destruction of very private property at best. As for corporeal independence, its wearing a people-suit, which certainly suggests it is intelligent enough to understand that what it did is decidedly wrong. Surely our resident space-mercs would put another of those frag-rounds into that thing on sight? Or something that'd do the equivalent to it.

Alysandir

When you get eaten out...but not in a good way.

Ascender

That storm dumped an aasload of rain on me over in Sulphur Springs... no blame attaches.

Foradain

And if Garamm still has his consciousness, what if Lasha's old body still had its own consciousness? (Probably not, given the way her voice trailed off, but...)

Leo Once3333

Why am already I so invested in two characters who were just introduced? Poor Garamm seems totally lost now.

Anonymous

It appears Lasha's body was an empty shell, allowing Lasha to fully control it. Obviously, she has to remind Garamm to run, rather than just controlling him. This makes his earlier proposition kind of... interesting. Would the flame entity have gotten anything out of the relationship, or is her (its?) carrier body just a transport? We may never know.

Jacob Barboza

It would at least be attempted murder and battery.

Paul Rendell

For all we know he's just storing her away so she could be handed over to the authorities. And obviously she'd be throwing herself over to Garamm to avoid being captured as much as she would to avoid being eaten.

akrasia

Imagine what the internet will do with the bystander video. Sparkly Cthulhu tourist eats demon, which anoints space lizard King before it dies...

Eric Loken

Sleeve death vs. real death. Still considered a type of violent assault.

MaxBigfoot

Yeah, that seems like some sort of arrestable offence. Attempted murder, possibly attempted cannabilism since he's trying to eat an obviously intelligent being. In my way of thinking, this shouldn't be let slide.

Jack Ponder

That is easily one of the most fucked up ways to die I have yet to see

Tim

Well, THEY sure got intimate FAST, didn't they?!

Marc Vun Kannon

Not cannibalism since they're of different species. Not necessarily even murder, since the demon-lady is clearly still around. Taking her body away from her is not much worse than disarming a gunman.

You are not alone. The big Lizard softie, loves love. How can you not like him.

Reigys

Well that's sufficiently creepy lol
