Archer in space; wait, its been done :). Intergalactic phrasing anyone?

I bet she would think the motto of Star Trek TOS would be "To bone where no man has boned before."

After Kirk, I don't think any of those places are left.

Breaking news! Space is full of nerds. Explains why Earth quit exploring it, and why most of the planet now feels REALLY stupid.

Ohhh looks like Peggy is about to go all D.I. on Sydney.

I'd already be happy, if Physics at my university had been full of nerds :( Alas, more likely to talk about sports and military service anecdotes, than about anything remotely nerdy.

Does not compute. When Europeans invaded other continents, they didn't do it because they thought the natives had cool stuff.

A comment thread from the website July 18, 2019, 5:19 am | # | Reply I’m *pretty* sure that that Archon motto translates to “With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility”… Panthyr July 18, 2019, 8:11 am | Reply Yeah. Literally, which means it’s terrible Latin. texiii July 18, 2019, 8:43 am | Reply It is a word by word translation rather than a proper translation. A proper translation would be “cum potestate magna venit magnus responsabilitate”. I will Dave points for trying.

What doesn't compute? Cora is essentially saying that invading earth for "resources" would be more trouble/effort than it's worth. Material resources are more efficiently mined from asteroids (iirc Dabbler stated that to Sydney earlier in the comic), and workforce resources are most likely better done by machines. So essentially the only thing left is "entertainment resources" and as Cora says you won't get more of them through an invasion. Comparing it to historical events is kinda disingenuous since back then the trouble/effort was worth it enough times to make it viable in general.
