I need a mnemonic device for embarrass, in the style of Jim Carrey saying "b-e-a-utiful." Maybe if I remember it as being made up of three 3-character parts. [emb][arr][ass]

I used that exact Bruce Almighty line to solidify the spelling in my mind in the past. Phonetically breaking down words into parts has always helped me in establishing their spelling and pronunciation, it's a good habit to learn. Other mnemonic devices such as poems or memorable sentences are great too. 'Big Elephants Can Always Upset Smaller Elephants' was invaluable to a younger snot-nosed self in the midst of learning 'big person' words such as 'because'. 'Today I saw a pirate sit on a campfire and they got an [emb(arr)] [ass]'?

2023-01-23 00:30:16 Page 25 - "effect" -> "affect". Probably one of the most common mistakes I see, tbh. Affect is to "*A*ct on" a person or thing, whereas Effect is the "*E*nd result" of that action. It's how I remember which is which. :)
