Note: A character commission for my close friend Lato, drawn in the Gravity Falls style! We had a lot of fun building these characters from scratch and developing their personalities! This was another surprise commission as I drew her up as we chatted about what kind of character she'd be and what kind of backstory she'd have!

Vestamona (Ves) Northwest (age 16) is the estranged older sibling of Pacifica Northwest. Unlike the rest of her family, Ves is extremely kind and down-to-earth. She has no interest in her family's material wealth or better-than-you stance on life. Due to her "rebellious ways", Ves was sent away to live away from the rest of the family for the majority of her life. She returned home just recently, and is completely self-reliant, working part-time at the Greasy's Diner to support herself, never relying on her family. Ves wants to be a good role model to younger girls and show them that being strong and self-sufficient is easy if you put your mind to it.

Ves gets along with everybody, even those that aren't nice to her. The only person who openly detests her is her own little sister, Pacifica. She has a small rivalry with Wendy simply because in such a small town, people are always comparing them, and the boys tend to pick either or. This doesn't stop Ves from being friendly towards Wendy or them being friends. Robbie and Dipper both have a growing crush on Ves. 

...Robbie! No! Stop that!

Ves' best friend is Bree Wentworth, whom she met at work. Bree is Lazy Susan's great-niece from another state who sometimes spends the summers with Lazy Susan while her parents enjoy some much-needed alone time away from their only child. 

Bree is quirky, a trait that runs in Lazy Susan's family. Despite being the same age as Ves, Bree feels more comfortable hanging out with the younger girls' group than the teenagers. The teenagers don't often invite Bree along when they hang out, and when they do it's mainly because Ves invited her and they don't want to offend her. Nevertheless, Bree and Ves are best friends and share many secrets with each other.
