It's not the end of August, that's a blatant lie, and I can't accept that nonsense. I'm a little bit in denial because there wasn't much time this month at all!

It's month end, so it's time to take a look at random musings, things that could've been, but never made the cut, things that have been improved, and things yet to come!

Face-Ups:

One of the things that I really want to achieve in my work is constant improvement, which is pretty much as easily said as it is done? But sometimes I want to focus on a certain part and spot check to make sure I'm not backpedaling and getting worse/stagnant.

This month, I really wanted to work on the faces. I have always drawn faces "my own way" but as I get more experienced, my old work from even ~2 weeks ago makes me cringe from lack of polish. Sometimes the faces could look below standard too, so I made sure to take a few days to grind out faces until I could make them more aesthetically pleasing.

Furry Prototypes

I really like how furries can look, epsecially the female ones. Here are some preliminary sketches on developing a furry style; these are just loose sketches so far and a lot more work will be needed before something is presentable:

Secretaries:

Two of my larger full body works this month were of salarymen transforming into gorgeous secretaries! (For reference, a single full body can take me up to 8 hours!) Anyways, before they are gorgeous secretaries, they are just a little bit more than stick people; here's a glimpse at some sketches from those transformations:

Next Month's Generic Goals:

  • Drawing speed and accuracy continues to be a problem; my approach is always quality/detail over quantity, but I would like to have both! 🙀

That's all for this month's Sketch Exclusive! Thank you for the continued support :)
