A rift to the Plane of Earth has opened above a clear lake surrounded by snow-capped alps and grasslands. The elemental energy of the rift has turned the area arid and barren. The lake has completely dried and the absence of water has created a drought, causing the surrounding grasslands to wither. Earth elementals burrow throughout the drylands absorbing any moisture they come in contact with.
