I don't know if this is true for everybody, but the reason I don't use your affiliate links for sex toys has to do with the import. It seems like an extra hassle, it cost more and brings some uncertainty with it. Maybe you could do a affiliate with Easytoys? Which I believe is, in Europe at least, easier to ship to?

I’m not quite sure I understand or agree with your reasoning. Buying through my affiliate links doesn’t cost anymore than if you bought through one of those websites without it. In fact it may cost you less because of my discount codes. What is the extra hassle or uncertainty? I only use affiliate links with trusted brands. And I’ve never heard of Easytoys before so I personally wouldn’t trust that without looking into it more first. Lovehoney (most of my affiliate links, ship worldwide I believe and you’ll be re-directed to your local website through my links). I’m genuinely curious about your hesitations as it’s useful for me to know and perhaps others have similar hesitations that would be useful for me to address.

Dominique, I don't know where you're ordering from so I don't know whether it's relevant, but Lovehoney has fulfillment centres in different places depending on which regional site you pick, which keeps customer shipping costs quite reasonable for many people. If you shop their UK site, they ship from the UK. If you use the US one, from the US, Canada site, Canada, the French site doesn't say where they ship from, but depending on your shipping options ranges from 2,90 € to 12,90 € and has free shipping for orders 70+€ if "L’adresse de livraison se situe en France métropolitaine (Corse incluse), Monaco, Belgique, Luxembourg, Suisse, Allemagne ou Pays-Bas", Australia and New Zealand don't say where they ship from, but given both use Australia Post, I'd guess fulfillment is from Australia. Now, Hannah, EU site orders ship from the UK, which may be what Dominique may be referring to for import - i.e. the idea being that if ordering from a different site that you might not have an affiliate link for that is closer to them, shipping might be cheaper due to not needing to pay import duty or possibly more expensive shipping - but specifically for Lovehoney, Dominique, they do offer reimbursement for customs charges if you have to pay them within Europe, you just need to claim them via their customer service department. I hope I haven’t overstepped and that's useful in some way.

Hi Hannah, I really like the stuff from Lovehoney and have bought it in the past with your discount code. Last november I wanted to buy an advent calendar and some other stuff. I live in the Netherlands and according to the website of Lovehoney that means its shipped from the UK. And this is via the EU version of the website. On the website it says this: Orders are shipped from the UK. All orders shipped outside of the UK may be subject to a customs charge. In this case, we will reimburse you for these charges. Simply contact our customer service department. If you have any further questions about shipping or your delivery destination, our customer service team will be happy to help you. So there can be a custom charge, that you get back from Lovehoney, but you have to pay it first and contact them. Aside from the taxes that you have to pay, you also have to pay import cost if the stuff you import has a greater value than €150. The official government website isn't exactly clear on how much it is, it says it also depends on their interpretation of the products. All with all, for me it was too much risk if I even would get it, how much the extra pay would be and the shipping was as much as the discount. So I decided not do it. Of course, that isn't the same for everybody or every country, I just wanted to give you an idea/reason why maybe less people would buy from Lovehoney. And I really just wanted to help. I trust that you only work with trusted companies and that you want the best for us.

I ordered something from your affiliate link on lovehoney and I did get a really good discount! Maybe she's talking about the shipping, my package took a month and a half to arrive from the UK to the Netherlands. Also, easytoys is the biggest sextoy webshop here, it even sponsors football teams!!
