I have been searching for this display since my early days of collecting. It's not what I expected to be a difficult one to find, and maybe you have had a different experience. Above, paired with the Macintosh LC from my video.

The seller actually had 4 of them but "untested". The Powerbook 540c is perfect for this situation, so I took it on the road. After testing, there were 2 working and 2 with highly distorted screens (i.e. junk). Of course, the monitor with the best brightness had the worst case, with the school name branded on the top. Sadistic!

Also, the best case had a bad display. The obvious solution is to make a good display out of the two. Of course, scavenge the feet and apple logo off the bad case before throwing it out... or giving it back to the Huron County Board of Ed.

Sweet! I know these are often either loved or hated but I've always loved them, their quirky enclosure and limited resolution (but handy with that Apple IIe card) they match perfectly with an LC or LCII 😀 The service manual is pretty helpful for making aadjustments and if needed just look for a general guide for CRT convergence adjustments.

Congratulations! I wish I had known you wanted one of these; I have a spare! It’s a great design from the best age of Macintosh. (We also subjected school equipment to the horror of the dreaded branding iron back then…but only the PCs.) :-P
