I can't remember what inspired me to do a video about the Macintosh LC. It could be that it was the computer that changed me from a Mac user to Mac collector. This was a unit my wife bought me for Christmas 2003. I always had my Macintosh Classic II on  display in the livingroom as a 'conversation piece', so she thought another old Macintosh would be a good gift idea. I had never even thought about buying obsolete Mac's. Who does that?!

The LC turned out to be a pivotal moment in Mac history, starting with a crazy introduction event (even for Apple). That grade-schooler who fumbles her environmental statement and makes it sound like it's too late to save the environment. (sorry Phil Schiller, you wasted your time making checklists)

My assistant at work liked to leave entertaining messages on my work voicemail, so I put her in there, too. However, I had to add a (bad) backstory to explain why she mentions Chi-Chi's, but it meshed great with the Apple LC introduction.

The LC was featured in the 'Don't Copy That Floppy' campaign video. Integrating D.P. became one of the most fun and popular parts of the video.

This is the video that really gave the channel some traction and is neck-and-neck with the Power Macintosh G4 as the most watched videos in this series.

Oh, and January 24th. Happy birthday, Macintosh!
