Thank god the narration is done!

It's been a long time since I spray-painted that blob of plastic in preparation to shoot the G5 video. This video project was larger than any I've undertaken. It was also a refuge for me from grim realities of a difficult year. I've heard many times that the videos help some viewers in the same way, and that's good to know.

It features the usual: running jokes, obscure references, Orson Welles, damn!, the oil museum, but a lot of deep diving into interesting aspects of the G5 tower. Facts about the G5 that 'Apple doesn't want you to know!', and so forth. And, sorry, no comparison to a cheese grater at any point.

The video features several sequences that were difficult to shoot, but, with patience, they turned out the way I wanted, so I'm glad I did not give up on them.

With the narration done, now it's balancing sound levels and getting some shots that were missing or were not very good. Then just proof-watching.. if that's a thing.

You will all know in advance when I am putting it on YouTube. It will be a surprise to everyone else.

I am also working out the ad-break locations, or else YouTube will just throw ads in mid-sentence! But you will be able to watch it on Patreon, ad-free.

Now, whether the video is 'up to par' is another story, but I really enjoy it. And that seems have always been a good sign. The feedback will be interesting.

Thanks to all here that supported this project! For example, getting this 2010 Mac Pro. Finally, something powerful enough to edit in High Definition, instead of having a mess of upscaling footage to HD at the end of the project on my 2008 Mac Pro. So much easier!

I'm looking forward to working on the next video, plus showing you some new acquisitions in the meantime.
