I believe I'm the only one talking about flyweight prospect, Oleksii Kryvets. It shouldn't be that way because I believe Kryvets is a legit talent. Kryvets is 6-0 fighting out of Berdichev, Ukraine has a 100% finish rate. He first stood out to me when he was brought to Italy on weeks' notice to fight Giacomo Santoro in the main event. Santoro was supposed to be a top prospect and Kryvets blitzed past him.

Kryvets competed in years in combat sports so he's been competing longer than just in six pro MMA fights. On the feet, he's a work in progress. I've been impressed with the small moments as he mixes it up well. He throws in twos, has a good jab, and attacks leg kicks. I'd like to see him move his more and use better footwork in the future.

He's more of a jiu-jitsu fighter. To get it down he isn't a technical wrestler but does an excellent job getting takedowns from the clinch. Upper body locks, foot sweep, traps, and using trips is done perfectly in the clinch from Kryvets. Once he gets the fight to the mat he's in full control. He stays tight but gives enough space to lull guys into trying to scramble so he can take the back. Kryvets is dangerous at working front headlocks and just attacking the neck in general. He's so confident in his jiu-jitsu that hes fine with going to his back.

I'm a big supporter of the flyweight division and I think Kryvets has a high ceiling. He's just 26 so he has time to grow. I'd like to see him fight in a bigger promotion where he can get the proper competition.
