About character.ai old and new (Patreon)

This is an informative message, especially for new users to help them understand the current chaotic state.

As you may know, character.ai has launched a new website, but it's still possible to access the old one from the left sidebar menu, with the "back to old site" option.

The extension was developed over 9 months of work for the "old site," and with the emergence of the new site, I have to port each feature one by one because the systems are incompatible. The most important features are already on the new site, which include the improved design and the memory manager. However, all the features, including the memory manager settings, are on the old site.

This means it's advisable to use the old site if you want access to all the extension's features (such as custom backgrounds, favorites, or downloading the conversation history). But more importantly, if you want to configure the memory manager, you can only do so (for now) on the old site. On the other hand, you can configure the memory manager on the old site, but the settings also apply to the new site.

Don't worry, this poor state is only temporary until I port the options to the new site.

Also very important, I want to clarify that character.ai, once again, is causing problems. Before, character.ai operated on the domains beta.character.ai (regular users) and plus.character.ai (cai+ users). But now, both environments have moved and merged into old.character.ai, and in the process, something was done that hindered the extension's loading on Android (don't worry, this has been fixed with the March 21st version).

Therefore, I'm sorry, both for new and old users, I know this is a state that does not meet the proper quality standard, but it will still take me time to finish porting all the systems from the old site to the new site.
