Hi Patrons!

I had a busy day today so I wanted to do something serene. I painted a mermaid that was inspired by homes in isolated landscapes. I think there's something so endearing yet haunting about being alone with nature.

I've lived out in the countryside most of my life and I honestly love it. Although I've grown to hate walking past or sitting near windows on the bottom floor at night since it's pitch black out. 😂 I've been spooked too many times by random cats staring at me with glowing eyes or a family member coming home late, knocking on the window haha. It really is great though, so peaceful and relaxing being that close to nature and not that much traffic noise.

Thanks so much for sharing your story!! The cat part made me laugh since I can only imagine how terrifying it might be at night 😂it sounds so lovely to be able to get away from all the noise and traffic and especially the sirens haha!
