Hi Patrons! 💛

I hope you're having a wonderful Sunday!

I finished painting "Love Always" yesterday! ✨

This was quite a challenging piece since I was struggling with how I wanted to depict the lighting. The setting was loosely based on Gallery Vivienne from France. I changed it up after I decided I wanted to create outdoor lighting. I made this change since I was immediately inspired to create dappled lighting when I saw Laurent Parcelier's paintings. 😍

Dappled light is quite new to me so I was experimenting with the method. I used Linear Dodge and Overlay on a separate layer to create the lighting.

A few things to point out with this painting, I was switching back and forth from Procreate and Photoshop since I wanted to test out my new brush set (which will be available for Procreate!)

Most of the colour changes and adjustments you see are done in Photoshop!

I also bought this new app called "VizRef", it was around $5 and I love it so much! It really helped me organize all my references on the split-screen.

I've also tried using the perspective tool on Procreate! I might have to try this tool more so I can challenge myself with a different perspective!

Overall, I'm very happy with this piece! I love anything stationery-related so it was nice to paint something dear to me! (Fun fact: I actually got this idea when I was packing your Patreon rewards 😝)

Thank you so much for your support everyone!

Have a fantastic weekend! 💞

Lovely to get a peek of your use of the perspective tool and the references used.
