Nintendo Crushes Yuzu | Punching Up: A Nintendo Podcast, Episode 22

Nintendo’s reputation for being an extremely litigious company continues. Over the past two weeks, their latest target was Yuzu, a popular Nintendo Switch emulator. While there has been legal precedent that emulation and game backups are legal, Nintendo makes the case that Yuzu has opened the floodgates for piracy, specifically citing that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was downloaded over a million times for use on the emulator a week before launch. In addition, Yuzu, while not directly hosting game files and Nintendo Switch BIOS and decryption files, paved a clear and easy way for its users to acquire them. So who’s in the right and who’s wrong? The Punching Up crew agrees that there’s obviously a place for emulation and game preservation, but when does piracy take things too far? Let’s dive in. PRETENTIEUX

I think if Dagan worked on polishing up some of his games, he could host a quarterly game show special episode and I would be all over that. Also the checkerboard floor in Mario 3 is masonic and that's also why they are putting on a play. Check out "SM64 is a Freemasonic Ritual" if you are interested in more true Mario lore.

Gene reacted to Dustin saying he'd never played Crono Trigger like he personally insulted his entire bloodline. Lol
